Nice little DEX devices.
4.5 Stars – Great Device, but Wish It Had a USB-C OptionThe BENFEI USB-C Hub has been a solid addition to my setup, providing the essential connections I need for my Samsung S23U DeX setup and other devices. It works seamlessly for connecting a portable monitor via HDMI, along with a keyboard and mouse.I originally purchased this hub to use with a Dell 14 Portable Monitor (P1424H), but I ended up returning that monitor because it only supported USB-C/DisplayPort input, and we couldn't find a workable HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. Unfortunately, converting HDMI to USB-C isn’t easily done because it requires specific support for DisplayPort Alt Mode, which most hubs, including this one, don’t offer. One small downside is that this hub doesn’t come with a USB-C output option. While this isn't a huge issue for me, having that option would have made the hub more versatile and avoided some of the frustrations I had with the purchasing/returning headache with the Dell monitor. Despite that, it performs exactly as expected and has been reliable in my daily use.Overall, it’s a great, affordable solution for anyone needing a compact, multi-port Dex hub with HDMI support.

works well - great investment
works well, cleared up plugs on computer and handles them all - great investment

Worked as expected, just one thing to note.
Worked as expected. Signal to monitor seems stable and seamless with plug and unplug. Important to note that this needs its own power to operate so if you try to use the PD pass through and your charger is just barely enough for your device it won’t work.

More than a hub
I've had the pleasure of using the BENFEI 5in1 USB C Hub for a few weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. As a frequent traveler, I'm always on the lookout for a reliable and versatile accessory that can keep up with my busy lifestyle, and this hub has exceeded my expectations. The hub's design is sleek and modern, with a sturdy construction that feels premium in your hands. The silicone and woven design give it a unique look that's both stylish and durable. The compact size makes it easy to toss into my bag or backpack, and the carrying strap is a thoughtful touch. This hub is a beast when it comes to connectivity. The 4K HDMI port is capable of outputting stunning video quality, and the three USB-A ports are perfect for charging multiple devices at once. The 100W Power Delivery is a game-changer, allowing me to charge my laptop quickly and efficiently. One of the standout features for me is the ability to charge my laptop at full speed (60W) while simultaneously charging my iPhone at 18W. It's amazing to have this level of flexibility without having to worry about multiple adapters or cables. The hub's performance has been almost seamless so far. I've used it to connect my laptop to multiple displays, charge my devices, and even stream 4K content without any issues. The hub's speeds have been consistent, and I've noticed no lag or delays.

Would buy again.
I use this for my sons Asus Ally to dock to the tv. It does what it says it does and seems very durable. Its not too big and could easily be added to a travel case for the Ally just don't set it on the screen. It has enough USB A ports I just wish it had more USB C ports but it does not limit a keyboard mouse hookup to your Ally. This will need a Power Adapter if you want to use multiple peripherals while docked. I recommend buying it least a 100w block. I only tested with 1080p so I do not know how well it handles 4k but quality as expected with 1080p. For the price you cant beat it.

Ideal addition to my laptop
This is a game changer. I struggled with having enough ports on my laptop and this solves the problem. It is small and light weight so easy to use for travel and seems very durable. When disconnected and then reconnected, my mouse and other items sprint to life immediately with no lag time. It has been compatible with all of my computer paraphernalia.

Great product
Love this thing. It’s durable and works with lots of type c devices. I use it for my iPad so I can have cute wireless keyboards. I can charge my iPad while having USB plugged it. Even has an HDMI port. Highly recommend. More boyfriend even stole it from me and asked where I got it because he wanted one too

Sort of functional, but lags a lot at 1440p 60hz with the ROG Ally
I was using thing as a dock for my ROG Ally and it sort of worked, but it has occasional lags just with a 1440p display running at 60hz along with a mouse and keyboard. And it had horrible lag to the point of becoming basically unusable when a USB 3 drive was plugged in and pretty much just froze up when transferring data. Also when transferring data it would max out at about 30MB/s with a drive that usually runs 100+MB/s when plugged in directly.Perhaps these problems stem from some incompatibility with he ROG Ally, I do not really know, but I just replaced this with the $14 UGREEN Revodok Pro and it works flawlessly. I have not had a single lag no matter how many things I do at once and it supports 1440 144hz, HDR, and enough power delivery to fully power the Ally with a 100 watt power supply.Overall I do not really recommend this even for the $6 that I paid for it, it does kind of work and if all you need is something to run a 1080p 60hz display it might be alright, but it seems like it just can't handle enough data to run a 1440p 60hz display.
