Q: Is there a new batch of these that have not expired in April 2017? Really want to buy but not if expired!

Hi,Not sure what you mean as there is always at least one year to expiry when we ship? Just had a thought - are you looking at Manufacturing date? Expiry of the Lot we are sending out now is 12/2018 i.e. December 2018

Sorry but the date on the information page is incorrect. Current expiry is Feb 2020.

Q: Are these for protein? as on the fact sheet dus k are for ketones?

Yes the darker the green colour becomes, the more protein is present in your urine, which in turn is indicative of kidney problems. If oedaema (swelling of ankles and legs) is also evident, this confirms a kidney problem. Medical help is required ASAP.

Q: How do you use the strips? are you meant to leave the strip in the urine for 60 seconds or just pee on it and wait?

The manufacturers recommend that the strip is immersed for no more than 2 secs, the surplus urine removed by tapping the edge on absorbent paper and the colour read after exactly 60secs. The strip can be immersed in a urine stream or after collection in a container.
