Yes, it (along with any magsafe accessories) work best with a magsafe case, but yes it will definitely work with magsafe.

Q: Will this mount to the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad?

We do not recommend doing so. Because the adhesive of the mount can not be repositioned and only works on surface that made from PC, TPU, metal, or glass. We afraid that the adhesive can‘t be attached to the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad.

Q: Can this be mounted on an Apple Studio Display?

the part that attaches to your computer is simply a 3M sticky... so anything with a flat surface is compatible.

Q: is there a weight limit for the phone it holds?

I have a 14 Pro Max and the magnets hold it well, thanks to the MagSafe. That said, I'm using it on a MacBook Air and the hinge on the laptop has a hard time supporting the extra weight
