This just acts as an extra coating on the nails and so stops them bending or splitting further. It does not actually do anything FOR the nails. I use it because it's the only thing to keep my nails protected that I know of but it often needs renewing through the day. I have taken vitamins & minerals for years which are supposed to help the nails but no luck, so I have to use this varnish to keep them looking like nails and stop the nails catching on clothes etc and ripping further (which is painful).

Disappointed. I have very brittle nails, especially on tips. So decided for this item. Painted my nails, it dried quickly. However it chipped on the tips of my nails,( where I wanted to protect) in no time. After couple of days all my nails got ugly brown colour tinge on them and whole thing just peeled off. So not happy and find whole thing just useless.
