LEDs are nowhere near the same intensity
I want to like this light column, but they really blew it with the LED bulbs!! Green is nice and bright, Red is reasonable but noticeably dimmer than green, and Yellow you can barely tell it's on at all. I don't understand, did they not turn one of these on during the development process?? The problem is well known, different color LEDs have vastly different voltage requirements and none of them use 12volts, they use much lower voltages than that, it looks like what they did here is just use the same LED driver for all colors, and that explains the difference in intensity between the colors, but this is not the only mistake they made... since they are in nice colored cylinders, they did not need to use colored LEDs at all!! They could have put WHITE LEDs in each of them and they would all be uniform intensity and the colored cylinder lenses would make them look Red, Yellow, and Green.I'm so disappointed that they implemented this in a way that is so unsatisfactory, but it has one redeeming quality, The LEDs are in SOCKETS!! YAY, so I'm looking for some Cool White LEDs to put in here and maybe I can make it useful. I can't see any designations on the LEDs, but they look like old style car bulb bases with LEDs attached. I will edit my post if I am able to find what kind of bases fit the sockets.

Red, yellow, green
Surprisingly nice construction, as another reviewer mentioned, great fit and finish. As simple to use as you could possibly ask for, a grey common wire and then red, green and yellow positive leads to power their respective lights. I used a 12VDC power supply and they all lit right up, very fun!Now the question is, what should I build with it?
