Q: Is it suitable for heavy duty 14 awg ac 3 prong power cord ?

The C14/C13 connections are not compatible with a normal home 3 prong extension cord. This would be used in the back of TV's, powered speakers, and other electronic devices along with the cord that came with the unit. It is rated at 10 amps (medium duty) well above what most home electronics draw.

Q: Is this right angle adapter UL certified or equivalent?

The one I received is CE certified (European equivalent).

Q: Will this work with a 1000 watt PSU, or will it burn my apartment down?

It seriously cracks me up when I see some of these question. All this thing does is redirect the IEC in tight radius turns. I use them on 13,000 lumen projectors so I think if you exercise common sense you’ll be fine. Let’s put wattage in perspective.... my wife’s hairdryer exceeds 1000 watts and yet the house still stands. Go figure!

Yes, it only changes the angle of the power plug.
