It tastes like chile powder but with a very rich, deep, slightly smokey undertone. Best chile powder I've ever tasted and I've been making Chile for 50 years!

Q: Is this ancho Chile powder gluten free and made on equipment that does not process other products with gluten or wheat?

This product is simply ground Ancho chilies. I can't say if it comes from a facility that processes Gluten.

Q: What are the scoville units on this? anchos are supposed to be mild (1000-1500 shu?) but some ancho powders on the market are listed at 5,000-9,000

I can’t give you scoville numbers, but since it is ancho Chile powder made from dried poblanos, which are relatively mild, it is not very hot.
