We use it for sound effects for accompanying train music. great for shout bursts but don't expect to do a long, sustained whistle. Not a loud whistle but very pleasing sound.

This is my third slide whistle, looking for musicality, and it is exactly what i needed. It resonates beautifully through the entire range, and the slide moves smoothly and accurately.

I've had a few, LP aluminum, plastic ones even wood ones from Brazil, but when I would tour the UK with bands I would pick one up every now and then and eventually misplace it.No current plans to head back to UK but I saw this on Amazon and bought it.Great whistle, brass and nickel plated I believe.Acme is a great whistle manufacturer I have an old British police whistle by Acme as well.
