Def mario kart fun, though limited to 15 feet.
I'm not inclined to write many reviews, but I felt I should for this game. I've been a huge mario kart fan my entire life. I picked this game up to play with family and setup in house. It's real easy to get setup and playing. The game itself you download off nintendo store for free. Syncing the kart is easy, just a simple button press on the kart itself while following on screen instructions. The kart moves faster than I thought, so a big room is best for doing this, or if you have linking hallways and connected rooms. *tip* it doesn't like driving up on rugs from a flat surface gets stuck; use a few plain pieces of notebook paper connecting flat surface to over rug and it'll drive up it just fine. When playing game, you're limited to the kart being within 15 feet of the console. You can be a room away or through a hallway, but if you start approaching the 15 foot mark, it literally hits a deadzone spot and gives you connection errors and half connects...so it's like dialup for the time you're out of the 15ft or close to it, then instantly when back reconnects strongly. I think this is a huge limitation. Would be nice to have a way to extend that distance with a switch extender or something could plug in another room or down the hall.Great game, the only thing that limits it is the 15 foot distance, which theres no way to extend or compensate. Most people don't have huge clear rooms, so using multiple connected rooms is helpful, but then the 15ft limitation gets in the way.

Excellent but room for improvement
This product is awesome, my kids love it. If there is anything I would improve it’s the following:1: the range that the karts operates from the switch. Apparently it’s only 5 meters but I think working on extending it would be great.2: it’s ability to rise over small bumps. I have a small transition piece from my living room to my dining room. The kart was not able to navigate over this and I’m hoping in the future that increasing wheel size or a higher profile would help in this issue.3. The need for speed. So maybe the creators decided to really limit the speed to decrease the chances of crashing into object but I think this is something we can allow consumers to decide. My kids can handle a faster kart, younger kids may need their speed governed.4. Two karts, one switch. If you, like me, own own switch for multiple kids to share, then you have to know that you can only purchase one kart per switch. I desperately wanted to buy a Mario and a Luigi, one per child, to go with this but unfortunately I will not be purchasing an extra switch just for this. If the ability to purchase multiple karts for one switch existed, that would be awesome.I know I’m being picky but because I love this product so much, I would love to see these improvements in order to maximize the experience.

Great game remote car. Only issues cardboard gates you drive thru.
Was nice to be able to just get at home as we couldn't get locally at time. Son loves playing with and driving around. He likes that he can make his own track. Only issue I see is that the gates for game are cardboard they do seem a little flimsy to last a long time. We have been try to protect them. So far ok. But would definitely be nice for more durable as they have run into them with car. But the more open and fold them back up the worse they get. We just got a second Luigi car so have them as backup. But if made from plastic would of been better.

Super fun way to keep Mario Kart fresh!
I got this on sale for Prime Day because the price point made it worth the chance. It was definitely worth it.I have a fairly open floor plan with ceramic tiled floors, so it works out great for the kart. And since I don't have pets and my Roomba runs every day, the floor is always clean and free of obstacles. It's easy to set up a course and race it. The game will place its own AR obstacles and different track conditions into the one you make. Weapons will stop your kart. Wind will make it hard to drive straight. Mushrooms will make it go faster. etc.The fact that you can just reconfigure the track over and over however you want really gives this a lot of great replay value. We will try to make each other really horrible tracks for the other to play. Makes it fun to see what nightmares the other has come up with! You can print out replacement gates and as many different directional arrows as you want. So you can definitely expand on your visual experience. If you have hardwood, vinyl, or tile, definitely consider this. If you have carpet, get out of the 80s and install a real floor. Then get this game!

Mario kart live: Home circuit review by a RC collector!
This mario kart game was definitely something else, the moment i saw it i knew i needed it for my collection. The RC itself is about 1/24th scale and works with the Switch of course as the controller. Having an RC with a camera attached is a plus but the AR is really want brings life to game itself. There are however a few things to note before purchase..--There is no physical game in box!--Yes..The game is digital download only and free! You are paying 100$ for the car itself, keep that in mind!--Doesnt work well on carpets or outside.--Nintendo doesn't want you using it outdoors but it does work outside in some driveways-> when its not too bright outside..As for carpet play? It works, but not too well. Hard wood is recomended.--No suspension--Has Zero suspension, cant go over small objects or slopes or even bumps without getting stuck!--No Replacement parts.--Nintendo missed a big chance here - Why release a 100$ RC car without extra parts? The tires will definitely wear down. Junk, hair, and lint will get stuck inside and around the wheels AND you cant get the rim off the car to clean it..+Final Verdict? :Great idea and cool RC Car AR Mario kart experience! But there is so many flaws and you may just end up having to replace it in the future for another 100$..

One word - FUN
This is incredibly fun. Set up is 1.2.3 and your off to the races. Video quality is decent. I was really impressed at how responsive the kart is. My kids love this.
