Excellent Batteries With True Capacity
**Performance and Capacity:**The EBL AAA Rechargeable Batteries offer an impressive 1100mAh capacity, making them ideal for a variety of high-drain devices like digital cameras, remote controls, and flashlights. In my experience, these batteries consistently deliver reliable power, ensuring that devices run smoothly and efficiently. They hold their charge well, even after extended periods of inactivity, thanks to their low self-discharge rate.**Rechargeability and Lifespan:**One of the standout features of these batteries is their ability to be recharged up to 1200 times. This significantly reduces waste and is more economical in the long run compared to disposable batteries. The Ready2Charge feature is convenient, as the batteries come pre-charged and ready to use out of the package. I found that they reach their full charge quickly using a standard NiMH charger, and they maintain their capacity over multiple recharge cycles without noticeable degradation.**Packaging and Value:**The retail package of 8 batteries is a great value, providing enough batteries for multiple devices. The packaging is simple and functional, keeping the batteries organized and protected until needed. EBL’s pricing is competitive, especially considering the high capacity and rechargeability of these batteries, making them a cost-effective choice for both household and professional use.**Environmental Impact:**Choosing rechargeable batteries like the EBL AAA 1100mAh helps reduce environmental waste, as fewer disposable batteries end up in landfills. The longevity and rechargeability of these batteries contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle, which is a significant plus for environmentally conscious consumers.**Conclusion:**The EBL AAA Rechargeable Batteries 1100mAh offer excellent performance, longevity, and value. They are a reliable choice for a wide range of devices, providing consistent power and reducing the need for frequent replacements. The pre-charged convenience and ability to be recharged up to 1200 times make these batteries a smart and eco-friendly investment.**Pros:**- High 1100mAh capacity- Can be recharged up to 1200 times- Ready2Charge pre-charged feature- Low self-discharge rate- Cost-effective and environmentally friendly**Cons:**- May not fit all devices due to slightly larger size- Initial higher cost compared to disposable batteriesOverall, the EBL AAA Rechargeable Batteries 1100mAh are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to save money and reduce waste while maintaining reliable power for their devices.

These rechargeables are good
Needing some more AA rechargeables I thought I'd give these EBL batteries a go as an alternative to the more main stream brands. Given the low cost I was a little sceptical of the specified 2800 mAh capacity so I decided to run the batteries through my trusty smart charger/tester several times to measure the actual capacity. On the first run the best cell came out at a respectable 2751 mAh; the worst only managed a poor 1719 mAh, while the rest fell between 2580-2703 mAh. The info that came with the batteries suggested they only reach full capacity after 3-5 charge/discharge cycles so I ran them through a second time. This saw an improvement to: best 2857, worst 2181 (the same cell that gave the previous poor result) and the rest falling between an improved 2642-2828. At the risk of turning into a battery geek, I decided to go for a third test; now the best was 2911, two came just under 2700 with the rest comfortably over the magic 2800 mAh. And the poorly performing cell? Well, that came out at 2894 on the third pass so a substantial recovery there. The capacity tests took the best part of a week as each run through took around 24hrs. It has to first charge, then discharge at a known rate to do the measurement, then charge again. I bought eight batteries and my smart charger only accommodates four cells at a time, so this lengthened the testing process. I also use a low charge current to avoid over-stressing the cells. Although two batteries (just) failed to reach the stated capacity after the three cycles, given the improving results of the others I suspect a few more cycles and they'd be up there. In conclusion I would say these EBL rechargables are a good buy provided they maintain their capacity over time. Another claim of these batteries is 1200 charge/discharge cycles. Now, my most frequently charged rechargables, used in electric toothbrushes, last around a month. I calculate that'll be some 100 years before they pass the 1200 cycles mark so I'll post back here in 2120 if these EBLs make it. Before long I'll need some of the smaller AAA batteries and would certainly buy EBLs again - and probably put them through the same capacity test as with these AAs.Here's a few tips to avoid over-stressing your rechargables: never over-charge, over-discharge or allow to over-heat. And use a low charge current, it'll take much longer but pay dividends down the line. Invest in a smart charger that stops the charge when full, has thermal sensing to prevent battery over-heat and charges each cell individually to ensure each cell gets a proper charge. Cheap chargers just pump juice into the cells at a high rate to charge quickly (usually in battery pairs which is likely to lead to unevenly charges cells), and have no full charge sensing cut-out.

Less than 2 years on - 4 out of the 8 bought now dead (Review Now updated)
(Updated at the bottom)These SEEM great, with high mAh, but the reality is they don't last.I've been using these in a couple of PIR interior lights in the hallway for night visits to the bathroom, they get regularly charged and seem to last a reasonable amount of time, but after the last usage, they won't charge anymore. They are suppose to be good for "thousands" of charges, yet with less than 50 charges in the not even 2 years I've had them 4 are DEAD and I've got a fancy charger than can even do a "refresh" of rechargables. I've got Eneloops that are almost 10 years old that still charge, albeit less than the original capacity.Buy Eneloops - these are just not worth it.----------------Updated Jan 2025EBL reached out to me after seeing this review I left and wanted very much to rectify this - they have since replaced the defective batteries, and then followed up to ensure I received them and they are working - which is the sort of excellent customer service that should be added to a review for consideration.I have written this update at the bottom, as I do not wish to have it at the top which may encourage less than scrupulous people to take advantage of this to get more free batteries; chances are, if you read all the way to the bottom you're not that kind of person.
