100% Wool Men's Civil War Replica Kepi Hat Large Grey

I originally ordered the XL for a costume for my husband, since his head size was right at the edge of the size chart for Large. Well the XL was too big, so we returned it an bought this one. The customer service was speedy and friendly and we got a size that fit. The little cross guns DO come off easily, but we wanted to be able to remove it, since we are adding a red band for artillery instead of infantry. The rest of the hat seems well made, the brim isn't anything special, but it doesn't seem like it would crack unless it was poorly taken care of. Overall, I am very pleased with it, since it was one less thing I needed to make for his Halloween costume this year.

Much better than expected! Not childlike as many Kepis! Material sturdy and the gray is great and much closer to historical gray than many! I only have two issue comments! 1) I am hat size 7.5 and this hat listed as large! It is a perfect fit for me and tite enough to stay on in a wind. If my head size was any larger it would be too small. 2) Smashed flat by shipping method. It is beginning to regain the proper shape, but not yet sure how well it will do.

Nice hat...it does have a softball style back adjust...so create a softball team!Confederate Cardinals!It is wool. Spring time is too hot on the head for any length of time...summer absolutely not. It will be my winter go to hat.

looks nothing like the picture, the pictures looks good quality, opened up the package and saw and felt it and was super disappointed feels like a kids Halloween costume.
