Q: Can I use reverse osmosis water with this humidifier?

I always use Reverse osmosis in humidifiers and it solves the problem of mineral buildup and white dust. It’s better for the unit and it’s better for your health. Win-win all around.

Q: Do you need distilled water for this or is regular tapnwater oka

If you have hard water or any particulates in the water, it will probably eventually gum up the works. I use a Brita pitcher to fill with. I do not use unfiltered tap water. It took about three refill cycles to get the factory dust out of it, then it was clean when refilling it the fourth time. It lasts overnight when running on low. On high, about 6 hours. But it does put out a great mist. Very happy with this purchase for my mom's bedroom.
