Have had this case on my phone for 5 years now! Does great for protection and still looks good on the phone!

Great compact case! Does not make phone much larger. Still let's phone be a single had phone, especially because how tough the case makes the phone. This is my 2nd defender case 1st one had got beat up over the other past several years! Wouldn't got with any other case. Otter Box Only! Bought the repackaged for a better buy!

I have used Otterbox Defender series for many years on a series of different iphones. This model seems to have the same quality as the others which lasted the life of the phone and protected it in the occasional drop to a hard floor. I like to have my phone in a holster because I don't like it in my pocket, and the Defender holster works well. It is the weakest link in the system, though, since it is a plastic that is durable but breakable if it gets caught on something and ripped off your belt in just the wrong way. It holds the phone securely, but on this model it is a little hard to release the phone quickly with one hand. Sanding off some plastic from the rear retaining lugs helped. The lack of a built-in screen protector is a little controversial, but there is a raised lip to protect the screen from most drops and the iphone front glass is advertised to be very tough and scratch resistant. No screen protector means better screen clarity and sensitivity to touch, which I accept as a good trade off. The phone fits very well in the Defender, the buttons and ports all work easily, and I think it looks good. I've used the Defender for a couple of months daily use and have no complaints so far.

I love otter boxes so there was no doubt I was going to buy one. I’ve had multiple phone and multiple otter box cases. My phone have never broke and I’m very clumsy. The case was offered as a sold back but when I got it the case had the striped pattern. Other than that I got a great case at a great price.

I really like these protective iPhone cases. I have used some form of OtterBox since my first iPhone. These Defender Series ones have been my favorite, and my first one was purchased in 2012 for an iPhone 5. I have never had any kind of damage to any of my phones. I carry them in my pocket and use them while hiking on trails and camping. They take a lot of abuse. I also use my phone as my GPS when driving. This case seemed to get too hot on the dashboard and the phone would overheat. I solved that by putting a white piece of tag-board in the holder. Now that doesn't happen. The cases last pretty long, but eventually, the tab covering the charging cable port wears out. That is when I replace the cover. I order the same one and only use the outer rubber portion, rather than replacing the whole thing. I really like that the newer versions do not have a built in screen saver. I use a glass cover which I also don't have to replace just to get a new cover. I should also point out that I don't have any problem accessing the charging port. However, if you use some kind set up where you actually put the phone into a charger, the case may be a problem. I only use charging cables, so there is no issue, as long as I buy official apple cables. Some of the knockoffs make the plug a little too big, making it hard to fit down through the cover opening.
