I have a drawer full of discarded alarm clocks which didn't meet requirement for one reason or another. Either the back light was so poor it didn't light the dial, or the alarm was too loud, the latest to hit the back of the drawer was the alarm off button, so tiny I could never find it to turn off the incessant noise, by the time I had I was in such a bad mood. Not a great start to the day.This one is lovely, well built, you can feel it's not a cheap one. It's stylish and feels sturdy. The back light is easy to operate, snooze button is a bonus and it's very easy to turn off. Oh another brownie point the alarm starts gently and gradually gets louder so you aren't woken with a jolt.Bit more expensive but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

Smart looks. But the hands are not easy to read in the dark, and when picked up in the dark the clock’s small base makes it difficult to see if it is the right way up and therefore what time it is. Not recommended for an insomniac!

Nice little alarm clock. I always like to have a battery one in case there is an overnight power failure. I like the way the volume of the alarm builds in a crescendo so it does not give you a fright. I find the hour and minute hands quite similar in length so you have to look carefully at times. The alarm hand is dark green and in low light can be difficult to see.

This works perfectly and is obviously well made. It is easy to use and see at night. However it is small and I was hoping for something that could be read from across the room as well. But for those with good eyesight, this would not be a problem, hence five stars given as it is me not it!

This was to replace a Braun alarm clock which I’d had for nearly 30 years. I got a similar Braun clock and it only lasted 18 months. I’m hoping this will restore my faith in Braun if not I’ll change brand. The quality is slightly plasticky but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for now

Looks good but seeing it in the dark is difficult. To put the illumination on you have to press the whole clock down . Danger that you will also depress the alarm button and switch it off.So sorry not fit for purpose

I like the size of the item I use it as an alarm clock should be used towake me from my slumbers I have only on complaint ie the bell isn't loud enough apart from that no other observations

I bought this because I was looking for a clock that was not digital as our current digital clock is too bright. It’s lighter and smaller than I expected. But it isn’t super noisy which is good because nu husband doesn’t wake up the same time as me and I’m a light sleeper so I hear when it goes off but it doesn’t disturb him. The alarm gets louder if you don’t switch it off which is useful. It’s hard to set an accurate time if it’s not in the hour or half hour but I think that’s the problem with all non digital alarms. Overall I’m happy with it as it serves the function well enough. It has a dim orange light when you press the button to see the time in the dark.
