Q: Hi, is this knife made in England?

Hi, Thanks for your question. This range of ceramic knives, like all ceramic knives, isn't made in England. We don't have the manufacturing techniques set up in England for this production. If you require knives made in England then please check out our 'Sheffield Made' ranges. We have 5 ranges that are made in our factory in the UK, however none of them are ceramic. The knives made in our own factory are of exceptional quality and I'm sure anyone would be very pleased with them. All the best,

Q: Is this good for cutting meat?

As a non-meat eater, I could not say - BUT when it took it out of the protective sheath-I badly cut my finger as it is so sharp; it cuts even tough old vegetables into thin slivers. I find it was a good buy, and I would buy one again if need be.

Q: How thick is the blade? Hopefully 2cm.

Hi, Thanks for your question. It is 2mm thick at the top of the blade. It's width is 35mm (3.5cm) from top to bottom and is 100mm (10cm) long. Thanks, Taylors Eye Witness

Q: Presumably it will get blunt - how do you sharpen it please ?

Hi, Ceramic blades stay sharp for much longer than steel blades. However, here are three ways to sharpen a ceramic knife: 1. Diamond sharpening stone: A diamond sharpening stone is a flat grinding stone (similar to a whetstone) with grit diamond embedded inside of it. These special knife sharpeners are perfect for sharpening a ceramic knife. 2. Automatic ceramic knife sharpener: Using an electric knife sharpener to sharpen your knives will allow you to simply to swipe your knife through the sharpener once, and it will emerge sharp. 3. Diamond file: Sharpening your ceramic knife with a diamond file is a little trickier and requires a knife rest, but it is effective and fast. These can all be done at home.
