The media could not be loaded. I am not the type to write reviews. But Mr. Peanuts carrier has impressed the heck out of me.I am the owner of a 11 kilo, half Maine Coon jerk of a cat. While he’s super great with people and other pets, he does NOT like to travel. And he makes sure that everyone within earshot knows about it.We’ve moved and the only way to fly him due to new regulations and airline cutbacks was in the cabin as carry on. I had my doubts about how to do it. We left him behind for a year with my older daughter so he could shed some weight, even after heavy dieting, he’s a hefty 11+ kilos (25 lbs).We spent a few weeks trying to acclimate him to the carrier beforehand and, as long as he could come and go at will, and the carrier magically gave him cat treats, he was plenty content. But. When I would zip it closed to take him on practice drives in preparation for the trip it was a whole different story. He would scratch, bite and meow like his claws were being ripped out. I was terrified as to how the flight would go and whether or not the carrier could take the sustained abuse of him throwing his massive body around.Nope.Despite the 3 hours in the airport, having to take him out to be swabbed by TSA, having to wrestle his pissed off cat attitude back into the bag (complete with clawing the outside, biting the zippers and ear piercing yowls) Mr. Peanuts held up. Not a bent zipper, not a snag in the fabric and not a tear on the mesh.I worried again as we walked to the farthest gate while carrying him by the shoulder strap. Mr. Peanuts won that round too. Not a bent hook or loose zipper.Even while waiting in the airport with both mesh sides open, he didn’t bite through. The pad shows no signs of wear and tear and he hasn’t even put a scratch or snag in the material.During the 3.5 hour flight, I was easily able to fit him under the SWA seat in front of me and opened one side for much of the duration of the flight. He spent the first 2 hours letting the whole plane know what an awful cat mom I am (sorry other passengers!). But still, Mr. Peanuts gave no quarter. The zippers are super sturdy and snug enough that I could reach my hand in to try and mute his kitty lamentations without popping open as he tried to force his way out.He did finally give us all some respite from his vocal production and sleep for about 45 minutes, so I would say it’s comfortable.It folded up easily so I was able to squeeze him into the center part for when we finally exited the plane. The hardware and materials again showed their might against his best attempts at freedom. Even with his desperate digging and rolling around while being carried by the shoulder strap through the airport, not a single thread popped and not a single piece of hardware bent.Now, this carrier is snug on him. Like a fat guy in a wetsuit. But he can turn from end to end and back to front (as he effectively demonstrated multiple times throughout the trip). An average sized cat would be very comfortable with the space and I was pleasantly surprised with how easily it fit on the plane.All in all, if you are looking for a well built, sturdy carrier that can take the punishment of a pissed off, obese cat, this is it. Mr Peanuts was worth every penny.

I am very glad I bought this carrier. “Mr. Peanut” was extremely friendly and had an AMAZING costumer service when I sent never never ending questions before buying it. I was afraid of purchasing it because it was longer than the maximum allowed in my flight according to delta. I got three flights, from Brazil to the US and in one of them the limits were smaller than usual. I decided to take my chance with this one because the soft sides should bend enough to fit. Since I’m a bit paranoid I took it with me first to measure in the aircrafts on my way there before coming back with my cat and I was quite confident. I had absolutely no problems at all, it fit perfectly even in the smaller one, I just had to squeeze it a bit. I loved the expandable sides, so I could (at the expense of my little leg room) open it during the flight and watch my cat. He was very comfortable all the way, even when it was closed. He is not a small cat, he is an 11 pounds boy and he seemed not to mind the travel at all. The bag is quite sturdy and is doing fine so far. I think it is safe to say that both I and the cat love it. My only negative point is that the cushion on the sides fall down when the bag is closed. It is quite uncomfortable for the cat but it was easy enough to fix with some Velcro and super glue before traveling. I would strongly recommend the seller to do this minor alteration and it would be flawless. It could also be fixed by just folding down the sides of the cushion under the main one, but this way it would be harder to open the sides during a trip. Since it is an easy fix and I’m so delighted I will still keep my 5 stars review. I strongly recommend this one.

Purchased this product to fly my 13lb rat terrier in cabin with me. This carrier was a saving grace, he loved the extra room when the expansions were unzipped. It did not completely fit underneath my first class seat on the flight (delta airbus 320 and airbus 321). Overall the expansions kept him as comfortable as possible during the flight. I took off one star because when the expansions are closed the carrier insert falls on the side and it ends up being really cluttered inside the carrier. My dog now only sits in it during car rides and as long as we don’t close it, enjoys taking a nap in it while we are traveling.

Quality zippers, durable mesh, durable fabric and seams. comfortable and sturdy shoulder strap. Good design with the expandable sides. This carrier’s expandable sides plush lining does NOT collapse into the interior compartment when it’s zipped up. (Has Velcro to hold I place) I did not keep this carrier for my pup because it was a more expensive than others and I planned to use it only once for a flight. (My puppy is growing fast and will not conform to the airlines weight limits.). So I ultimately went with a less expensive carrier for my one time use.

The carrier itself is great. The mesh is good quality and doesn't seem like it'll fray with being clawed and pawed at. Shoulder strap is fine and comfortable. The expansions are good too.However, the insert for the bottom is made of the thinnest, absolute cheapest faux fur / Sherpa lining. Within seconds of putting our puppy inside (Four-month-old Boston-Collie) he had chewed through the lining and had major clumps of the faux fur ripped off.If your puppy is a chewer or is a bit destructive, in the least, be very aware that you'll likely have to wrap the bottom or at least put a secondary liner like a blanket in place.

We bought these for our big cross country trip. We had a 3 hour car ride to the airport, and a 5 hour airplane ride. Our 2 cats (both around 10 lbs) had plenty of room to stretch out when expanded, and the bags are extra sturdy. These fit under the seat in front of us on our domestic United flight. If you're planning on traveling, I definitely recommend this!
