Safe and secure
Arrived on time and well packaged. Works just like the original. Installation was just a bit fiddley but that’s not a fault of the part, rather an issue of the car manufacturer. Only question is how long it lasts.

Poorly made and does not fix issue
Removing the door panel to replace this unit is a job. Lot's of delicate fasteners that break easily. But the biggest issue is that the mechanism does not work. If you complain, they will tell you to also purchase the wire harness that it plugs in to. This is a diversion tactic. It has been less than a year and the door does not latch at all anymore. Our concern was that the previous door lock snapped. After replacing with this item, within a week we noticed that it didn't always latch and the key FOB would not get it to lock or unlock. Also, the manual key does not engage the lock/unlock mechanism. So you run the risk of getting locked out of your vehicle or having to climb through trunk to open the door. There is obviously some solenoid in the OEM unit that communicates to the car and this item does not have it or it throws an incompatible signal.

The alarm won’t chirp now!

Works well and a fourth of the OEM price
Installed over 2 months ago on my 2009 A4 front passenger door. Works just fine thus far. You can find videos on You Tube its fairly easy to install just need to be careful removing door panel.

This Door Lock Latch Actuator was a great price and I like that Amazon can tell you if it will fit your vehicle when you enter your vehicle information into your Amazon "garage"

Not compliant with vehicle security system
This part is not compatible with my car. Door lock mechanism works but alarm will not arm. I ordered a second one. Still did not work. If you unplug the unit, the alarm will arm but obviously to mechanism won't lock.
