Worked Amazingly Well to Drill Through Tile
I bought these to drill holes in my bathroom tile to install a new toilet paper holder and towel bar (our entire bathroom is tiled from floor to about 6 foot high). In order to not chip the tile, I used blue painters tape to mark where the hole should be drilled. This tile drill bit cut a clean hole, no cracks and worked like a hot knife through butter.

Powers through and keeps you centered/straight
I had to drill 3 holes in my ceramic tile fireplace for toggle bolts to fit in to devote my mantel. This type of bit was great as it stayed center at the starting point and powered through all 3 holes. You could feel it getting slower at the third hole but I bet I could have gotten a few more out of it before it was completely dead. Took me about 10 mins per hole, with a cordless 18V drill, and I was taking a few breaks for it to cool and to dip it in water to start again. Overall it was well worth the money and allowed me to wiggle it around the outer rim of the holes to make it a little larger so that the toggle bolt could squeeze in since it’s a tad over 5/8” with the pin. Will buy again if I need to drill into tile.

Glass drill
Product works well. Good quality.

Perfect for what I needed
Sharp bit with no walking. It only managed to cut through 1 porcelain tile before it felt dull, but that’s all I needed. The hole was perfect and it only took about 5 minutes. I’m sure this thing would cut like butter through ceramic or materials.

Work perfectly.
Wished we had purchased a set years ago. Cut through ceramic tile like butter.

Ok, but not great. Maybe better for lesser quality porcelain tiles.
We drill a lot of holes into porcelain tile. Think about every piece of hardware to install, a grab bar, a shower bar, a robe hook, and of course, our favorite Kohler HydroRail. We drill a lot of holes and each one takes up to 20 minutes. This is typical for drilling through porcelain tile. It is a tedious process. That being said, we bought a number of brand new bits to complete our last remodel and the crew was not impressed. The bits take too long and sometimes break. Yes, we keep them cool with water. Perhaps it depends on the porcelain tile, we only specific tile from Italy and Spain so maybe they are more dense than the American made porcelains. Bottom line: we install the better quality porcelain tile for our clients because it is easier to install (even thicknesses and square) and lasts longer (durability) and we have yet to find a bit to drill holes in it that we truly like.

Outstanding Glass/Tile Bit Set
I had to drill 12 holes through my shower tiles to install grab bars for my wife. I was more than apprehensive since I had never drilled tile before. I wanted to get a good set of drill bits to minimize the chance of breaking irreplaceable tiles (1950s color is no longer available). After looking at many glass/tile bits and bit sets, reading review after review, I finally settled on the Bosch GT3000 8-piece set. I couldn't have made a better choice. After placing the grab bars where I wanted them, I masked over the footprint for each end of the bars, then placed the bars back on their desired location and marked where each hole would go. Then, taking "the bit in my teeth," so to speak, I got ready to drill the first hole. I had filled a water bottle to cool the bit, just as I had read on some "how-to" site. I pressed the bit tip into the tile and heard a small crack as the tip penetrated the glaze. Drilling at a slow speed and keeping a small stream of water at the contact point, I proceeded. My heart was beating a 100 times a minute and my breathing was shallow. I was scared to death. Within seconds, the bit was through the tile. On to the second hole - same experience. Then, before I knew it, I had all twelve holes drilled and not one cracked or chipped tile. These bits are so sharp that the twelfth hole drilled as easily and quickly as the first, and every hole was clean as a whistle. I finished the holes with a regular titanium high speed bit, mounted the bars, and voila, a done deal. I cannot say enough in praise about these Bosch glass/tile bits. They are worth every cent andt then some. I highly recommend them. When you buy the best, you can expect the best in performance. Oh, and the case is really nice, too. And, the buying experience? It was worth the time spent researching, being a Prime member and getting the bits two days after ordering, free shipping, and everything else I've come to expect from Amazon. I also bought with confidence knowing that Amazon stands behind everything they sell. All-in-all, and excellent experience.

The Bosch GT300 1/4-Inch Glass and Tile Drill Bit is a reliable and well-engineered tool that delivers excellent performance for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Designed specifically for drilling through glass, ceramic tile, and similar materials, this bit stands out for its precision, durability, and ease of use. One of the most impressive features is the carbide spear-point tip, which provides smooth and accurate starts with minimal walking. This makes it ideal for delicate surfaces where precision is critical. The tip design also contributes to clean holes with reduced chipping, even on brittle materials. During testing, the GT300 maintained its sharpness and cutting efficiency across multiple uses, outperforming many comparable bits in its class. The bit also handles low to moderate drilling speeds well, which is crucial when working with fragile surfaces like glass or porcelain tile. Another highlight is the build quality. Bosch’s commitment to manufacturing excellence is evident in the consistent performance and longevity of the bit. Whether used in a cordless drill or a drill press, it delivers professional-grade results. In summary, the Bosch GT300 1/4-Inch Glass and Tile Drill Bit is an excellent addition to any toolkit. Lo usé para instalar una barra de seguridad en la ducha del baño. Entró perfectamente y no resbaló en el azulejo.

Shorter than expected based on the pictures - the unpainted part of the shank is only 40mm. The shank is fully cylindrical, with no three-flat design. I used it to drill through tiles. The first hole went well, but the second felt noticeably harder, so I wouldn't expect it to last very long.
