Quiet enough for radio use
I had tried to design my own buck converter, taking the voltage from 14V to 5V and found that it was very difficult to do this reliably and with minimal noise on the output. I was looking to power an RF circuit. This Drok DC Buck Converter is amazing! It can handle the job with ease, and the output is very clean allowing my RF circuit to function properly. This converter has a place on the plastic housing for a fan, but so far heat has never been an issue while running at 1 amp or less. There are a few things to watch out for! First, make sure you have the converter set to the correct voltage before connecting power to your project. Secondly, the USB port can operate at voltage that are higher than normal USB spec. If you have the converter set to output 10V, the USB will also be 10V, instead of the normal 5V. This could damage equipment if you aren't aware. Next, the USB port does no remain enabled during a power off/on sequence. The converter WILL remember the voltage setting, but the port disables until you manually re-enable it. Idle current consumption is around 15-20ma at 14VDC, even with the display backlight turned off. Connections are all made using USB or screw terminals. Overall a top performer and good value for the price!

Easy install and works great as an upgrade.
Bought a trail cam, built battery box for 12 volt dc jack, camera died in 2 days ordered different camera, this 1 turns out to be 6 volt, installed this guy which saved me from buying a 6 volt battery.Adjustable output voltage, usb port with adjustable out voltage, accuracy is great for my needs, draws almost no power, not much draw so heat is low and battery life has only dropped .02 volts in 2 weeks use.Lot cheaper than 8 AA alkaline s.

Easy to use, looks great, nearly perfect, so far
I bought one of these to step down 24V to 12V for cooling fans on my 3D printer. So far, this little buck converter has been virtually flawless. It's easy to connect wiring, adjusting the voltage was a snap, and it looks pretty great, to boot! Pros: • Easy connections with screw-down clamp terminals • Easy to adjust outgoing voltage • Display can be adjusted to show incoming voltage, outgoing voltage, or both. And even amperage. • Looks fantastic. I love the clear, open "housing". • Includes small stick-on heatsink to keep things running coolly. • Everything fit together perfectly • Has a USB power output, in case you need to run USB devices from other power sources. (Likely need to reduce output to 5V.) This output can also be disabled. • Even has a spot to mount a small cooling fan to the clear acrylic over the heatsink. Cons: • No assembly instructions, though it's not overly complicated. (Hint: Look at the product photo for help.) • Voltage is off slightly, so I wouldn't call it overly-precise. Display says 12.0V out, and I measured 11.67V out. Good enough for my purposes. • Open housing can let in dust and debris, if that's a concern. • Included double-sided adhesive really doesn't stick all that well. Overall, the cons are pretty minimal for me. I'm really happy with this thing. We'll see how it does with longevity, but for right now it's been working great.

Looks cool, and works well.
I installed it in the same box as a low voltage motor controller for my DC ceiling fan. If the terminal connections were more substantial I would give it five stars. 16 gauge wire seems max, and that was tight. Easy to adjust and it's been working well. I like it.

DC TO DC Step down voltage regulator
Received in brand new perfect condition. I’m really into electronics a lot. And being in ham radio you need devices like this. It was very easy to assemble and set up. Please watch the video and read the instruction sheet. Well made works fantastic! I just ordered two more. Highly recommended. 73

Cool little gadget
Works perfectly for what i needed it for, which is to monitor voltage on my car audio system and also be able to power the little GPS tracker inside of it.. The USB is a great feature that can be turned on/off but i always have it set to 5.1v anyway and I think my current is limited to just under 3a so it doesn't try to start a fire too readily if there was ever an issue 😂 You have to do a final assembly of it and the 2nd one I ordered was missing 2 screws but it's not a big deal with how I'm planning to mount it - but do better guys! Will continue to purchase and recommend: the voltage calibration is adjustable so you can fine tune to match any other meters you have. For less than $20 it'll fast charge your phone too?! No brainer 👌

Not only will it step down, but it will step UP as well.
I've bought multiple of these for various projects, but primarily for stepping the power output from my solar/battery powered security cameras from 24v to 5v. They've been working flawlessly for 2 years with zero maintenance or adjustment required. However while replacing my generic analog thermostat with a smart one recently, I found I didn't have the 24v line required to power the new digital controller. What I had was a 5v wall charger and one of these adapters. I removed the circuit board from the wall adapter and mounted it inside the same box this converter comes in. It barely fit but it fit! I tapped power from the 120v line from the A/C unit into the 5v transformer, then patched the 5v output to the input on this converter, set the output to 24v and it's also been working fine for over a year. While I realize that I could have just bought the 24v adapter, I wanted to finish the project before the weekend was over and this got me there. It's still working so I see no need to swap it out.

Great little buck converter, comes disassembled as acrylic is fragile but assembly is extremely simple and while a short guide would be nice it's not worth the waste of paper.

Works with the Pi4 for me using the right 12v input, its just a shame the USB cant be automatily on after a power cycle,
