I think this may be my 1st Amazon review - but I just have to say, this stuff actually works! Typically, mosquitos leave pancake-size welts all over my body but not this summer. This is an odorless, oil based spray that protected me from those little jerks all summer long - and even in the Carribean. I will never go back to using anything else. Buy this now - you'll thank yourself later!

The damn "squitters" love me but hate this stuff! It says odorless -- and it is eventually -- but right out of the bottle it's a nose full. Better to spray in a well'-ventilated space. That being said, after about five seconds the odor dissipates to scentless. I've purchased both the spray and the lotion and love them both. Highly recommend!

I live in a southeast coastal area of the US, about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from a river and 5 miles (8 kilometers) from the ocean. To say that it’smosquito-and gnat-ridden is an understatement! It’s awful to live in such an amazingly beautiful place, but be unable to enjoy it due to biting insects. So insect repellent is a huge deal around here, for residents and tourists alike.Please believe me when I say that my family has tried every insect repellent in existence, from citronella (ineffective!) to DEET-the heavy duty (works best but smells bad and can be dangerous). Every new type we see or hear of, we’re willing to try!I purchased Proven because the active ingredient is one we’ve not tried before, and I had high hopes! As soon as it arrived, I applied it. The day was a humid, warm one and perfect for the bugs to come out at dusk. And the Proven kept them off of my skin! I enjoyed watching the gnats hovering about 5 cm above my arms (we’re easily entertained, obviously!).The only aspect of Proven that I must take issue with is the length of time they claim for efficacy. I had to re-apply it after about 90 minutes, and again 90 minutes later. I’m not sure why it didn’t last longer, because it is marketed as a long-lasting product. And I did apply it per the instructions on the label.Typically I wouldn’t continue to purchase anything from a company that seemed to blatantly mislead people. I’m still on the fence about buying Proven again. That it worked as long as it did to keep the insects off of my skin in this area, is a minor miracle, actually. But for 12 hours? No, not even 2 hours. I have a problem with that claim. Maybe they tested it in Antarctica or something.

I don't know maybe there is a smell - I don't notice it. Works well but you do need to cover every square inch. If you miss a spot they will find you. And because of that it seems to go fast. I'm at night five and half the bottle is gone. My wife used it one night.Spray bottle works well too. Others seem to not have even spray. This one is easy to spray and gives a nice even mist.Cons: Expensive. And a little oily. Not uncomfortable on skin whatsoever but left little halo on deck where I sprayed (outlining feet).

I've tried a lot of different products over the years and this is the first that does what it says it will do. I had an overgrown forest of a yard to tackle and I had put it off due to the hungry insects this summer. All I had to do was walk through the yard and I'd be all bitten up. I applied this spray and took a test walk through the grass. No bites! So I tackled the yard for 2-3 hours, came in, showered, and not one bug bite. I can go outside again. Wonderful product!

The repellent itself seemed to work on the one time we used it. The first order arrived with a broken spray applicator, Amazon refunded that purchase. We reordered based on a family recommendation and the 2nd applicator worked at first but then stuck. We had to remove the cap and apply by hand. It took some work but we finally got it working. As I said though the repellent does seem to be effective with no real odor.

I am in the yard every day, all the time. You will not be disappointed. It is better than Off and the other brands. It is long lasting and does not have a strong smell. Highly recommend.

Not as potent as the Deet good stuff. But given no oder after 10 minutes and no melting plastic residue can't be beat. If properly applied will keep the parasites at bay for 4 hours. Will not meet the hours reapplication claims, but none of them do. They purposely deceive.
