This is a really excellent quality knife, with a comfortable shape and grip. I really enjoy using it, although it does have a problem, in that although the blade lock works and prevents the blade being pushed into the knife handle while in use, it doesn't prevent it being pulled outwards with each cutting stroke. I can prevent that happening by placing my thumb over the black spring-loaded slider as I cut, but I would really prefer that it would lock the blade in both directions.

All Good would use again

It's solidly constructed, but long and awkwardly shaped leaving the tip of the blade a long way from your hand. If you hold it further forward it feels uncomfortable and awkward. The killer for me though is the blade 'locking' mechanism. The blade is pushed forwards by the catch and held back by a rather weak spring meaning that if you're using it at a shallow angle (e.g. scoring a line with it) the blade will be pulled out. If you're using it at an acute angle, like cutting a shape out of paper, it'll be fine - but you don't need a heavy duty knife like this to do that. Long story short it's good for "for Delicate Cutting Work and Crafts", like the description says - but not for the type of use its construction suggests.

After buying and using basic knives the same size etc for my work I found this and it was more expensive than alot of others but I like the quality and feel of this knife and others I work with have tried it and started to buy this knife now.

Ce cutter propose une ergonomie intéressante et de belles options, comme l'auto-verrouillage de la lame. Et si on le souhaite, une légère pression sur le bouton pour faire sortir la lame de quelques centimètres et on relâche pour qu'un ressort la rétracte. Très pratique.
