Little Live Scruff-A-Luvs Plush Mystery Rescue Pet, Lilac

my Scruff a Luv is so cute. I can't forget the day I've rescued her. I expected a dog but I ended up with a beautiful kitten. if you want to get a Scruff a Luv almost as mine, you should try to wash all the glue off your Scruff a Luv before drying it and wash it gently. then, you dry it with a hairdryer in the warm settings and you dry it properly. make sure that it's completely dry from head to toe. then, you groom it with the comb provided from the set and brush the fur in a few likely directions or you would get a monster looking pet! then you give it a name(i gave myself ideas frome what color the fur is) and write it on it's collar and you fill in the certificate. if you followed these directions carefully, you would get an adorable, fluffy, sucessful pet!

The gift isn’t great by itself. The best part of the gift is the long quality time you spend with your child saving this poor pet. We spent at least 30 minutes washing, drying, brushing. Until this little cat was perfectly puffy. As my sweet 6 year old comforted this sweet stray. Saying things like “oh you poor thing you have knots must be food in your hair” “It must be nice to be out of the cold” and also when she said “I’m brushing her butt” I chuckled and she said “don’t laugh at her mom this poor girls been living on the streets” we then wrapped her up to snuggle with a movie. Best gift yet.

They ARE called scruff-a-luvs and there for are scruffy. I am not sure what some people are expecting. For the price point they were fun I got four of them for my four kiddos they put their swimsuits on and gave them a good scrubbing in the bathtub and then blow dry. Day two there’s still a bit damp but they’re cute. The purple one looks kind of creepy in the bathtub but ended up being cuter as it dried. -My only negative is that the packaging is so ridiculously girly -Why in the world would they think a boy kid wouldn’t want one of these? I ended up getting one for my son anyways the yellow one he loves it.

It is a great concept of 'adopting' a pet and comes with a form that the child can sign to adopt the pet. My daughter was very excited about this toy but then we opened it and washed it and washed it again and again hoping that it will look like the published photo... it did not, still does not. While she hasn't told me she is disappointed, it is obvious. She does play with it and carries it in her backpack, so all is not lost. I say it is overpriced for what you get.

I made a scavenger hunt game that lead them to the Scruff-A-Luvs Rescue Pets. Then I filled our double kitchen sink with warm/hot water where they submerged and washed the pets 2x with shampoo, and conditioner 1x while brushing them.. (I bought wire cat brushes (like another reviewer had said) from the dollar store..that worked well.) They used a hair dryer to dry them, and gave them a little haircut around the face. They loved it! They are super soft and smell great from the hair products we used. No one complained that they were not cute enough or too scruffy...BTW they are called SCRUFF-a-luvs. The whole activity took about an hour for 8-12 year olds.

Start it out looking like a drowned rat But a few months later We did a second wash and turned out to be fluffy. Very cute ,best toy yet, my daughter was so happy when it turned out to be fluffy. She still plays with it!😁😁😁 my son wants one,my kids will never get to old to give them an annual bath, make sure to brush them with a hair brush and then to groom it with the scruff a luv brush. perfect gift wold definitely buy again.
