One of the best toothbrushes you can get.
First, I love that it’s app connected. It’s definitely effective, more than any other electric toothbrush I’ve owned. It does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth, and my gums look very healthy too. My only issue, and it’s not that big of an issue in the slightest, is that it is a very loud toothbrush, but otherwise it’s a very good purchase.

Exceptional Quality and Performance
I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews, but I had to for this one because of how satisfied I am. It feels like I’m getting a professional teeth cleaning every time I use it, and there’s a noticeable difference compared to regular toothbrushes. The quality also feels just as good as the higher-priced options. You will not be disappointed!!

Works with dual brush head
My favorite toothbrush. Glows red when you push too hard. Longer battery life than previous brush and shows battery life at bottom. I charge it once a week. Works well.

Great Cleaning Power, Minor Connectivity Issues
The Oral-B Smart 5000 does an excellent job cleaning my teeth, and I love the pressure sensor and multiple cleaning modes. The travel case is also very handy. My only complaint is the Bluetooth connection can be a bit inconsistent at times, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, still a great toothbrush!

Love it
I won't rehash what others have already said, this is a great toothbrush, you won't be sorry buying it. What I will do is point out things that aren't mentioned much, but that were important to me. 1) There's little to no difference between this model and higher priced ones, even 2x the price - by 'little' difference, I mean the higher price gets you more features in the app and another 'brushing mode' or two, like pulsating or an additional 'gentle mode'. By 'no difference', I mean inside-hardware and capability-wise, they're actually all the same. Spend more if app features are important to you, save your money if they're not. 2) This model has no indication which of the 5 brushing modes you're on - Oral-B decided to charge an extra Benjamin for that feature on the next model up, I think it's the Smart Pro Limited or Smart Pro 6000, which has a light-up display that lights up icons when you switch modes; that's really all the higher price gets you. You can either count the modes yourself and save some money, or just holding the mode switch button automatically resets it to the first mode if you forget. 3) The bluetooth comes automatically on, but you can turn it off anytime by just holding both the power button and the mode switch button for 3 seconds. The bluetooth icon will flash, and then turn off. It'll stay off forever, or until you repeat that action, then it'll flash and stay on. Very simple, but good to know if you don't care about the app and want to save battery 4) I looove that this brush doesn't actually stop brushing when it hits the 30 second mark. I've always hated how my last brush, the discontinued 4000 Pro model, would just stop and beep - very annoying since I brush at my own pace. It was especially annoying when I was brushing the back of my tongue and the abrupt interruption always almost caused me to gag; this one just beeps and slows down for half a second - it's actually hard to notice if you're not looking for it - which is a huge plus for me. I can finally brush how I want and not forced to pause because I was out of sync with the timer All in all, I'm very pleased with this model, really no regrets, and hope it lasts for years to come.

Great electric toothbrush
My dentist has been suggesting an electric toothbrush for years now and I've been hesitant. So this last visit I asked her the true benefits and after all she said I knew it was time. This is the one they promote at my dentists office and was forever grateful as always to be able to get it here at Amazon for a much discounted price. Now for the toothbrush. Honestly, once you go electric you will never go back to manual. The clean feeling you get is amazing. My Pro 5000 came with a "floss action" brush head which I sometimes use but I also purchased a pack of sensitive heads. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and have always used ultra sensitive manual toothbrushes. To be honest it has taken me a while to figure out the best way to use the brush for me. I always brush longer than 2 minutes so the timer is a must to have but I know I am brushing a t least 2 minutes every time. What benefits me the most is the pulsing yellow light when pressing too hard. It blew me away to see that handle flashing yellow with a pressure I thought was gentle. I still find it difficult to maneuver the brush to certain back teeth and part of it is me getting to truly believe the pulsating head will do all the cleaning. I can see people who like modern technology and gadgets liking the blutooth app. For me, I link my brush to it once a week to see how long I brushed. Other than that I don't use it. It also took me time to realize I needed to put the brush into sensitive mode to be as gentle as possible with my teeth. And due to their sensitivity after I brush yes the teeth tingle and feel fresh but they also hurt a little. This concerns me some but I have gotten the brush to not flash yellow, my gums are a healthy pink and look amazing. Also an hour after done brushing that sensitivity goes away. I think it is truly due to any electric action is certainly stronger on my teeth than the ultra sensitive manual brushes I used to use. And now when I floss it is so simple. Can't wait to get the final appraisal when I go back to my dentist in a couple of months. Bottom line my teeth never felt this clean with a manual toothbrush. if you are hesitant to go electric believe me, it is not hype. And this Oral B Pro 5000 has worked awesome for me and I have had it 3 months now.

Super brush!
This is the second Oral-B powered toothbrush that I've owned, and I'm even happier with it than I was with my first one (which I also really liked). The most important aspect of a toothbrush is how it performs. For my wife and I, we love how fresh and clean our teeth feel after brushing with it. It has several different brushing mode to suit your tastes: 1) a higher power, more vigorous brushing mode 2) a slightly lower power mode, if you are slightly overwhelmed with the full power mode (this is especially helpful for younger kids using the brush) 3) a pulse mode that alternates between a higher and slower spin/vibrate action that is even more gentle One of the handiest features of a smart electric brush like this is that it has a built in timer to help you to know if you've brushed enough to really clean your teeth. You can set it for 2:00 or 3:00. This is, of course, just a guideline, for how much one should brush to clean their teeth thoroughly, but it is helpful. The whole body of the brush pulses after each successive 25% has been completed. I use this to clean my quadrants (lower left, lower right, upper left, upper right) so I can be a bit more confident that I've given equal time to all my teeth. On another note, the device is well built. I wouldn't hazard to drop it intentionally, but if reasonably cared for it should provide years of service. My last Oral-B brush lasted 5 years or so before the rechargeable battery started to give out (which is expected). I'm sure this one will last at least as long. Speaking of batteries, this brush has a very sleek wireless charging system. No exposed contacts or ports to cover - just set it on its base and it does the job. Include in the package was a nice, low profile base with an attached caddy for up to four brush heads (if you are sharing the brush with family or significant others). It also comes with a plastic shell caddy for short trips. I found I could pretty comfortably use the brush for 3-5 days while traveling without requiring the charing base, though your milage may vary. Just a note about the caddy. My last brush came with the same plastic caddy. The hinge of the caddy eventually broke but the two halves of the shell still snapped together effectively enough that it was still useable/useful. An annoyance to be sure, but not a major problem. This unit also can communicate with an app on your smartphone that can provide you with brushing insights and remind you when to change your brush. As of this writing, the software is only useful if only one person is using the brush as it doesn't currently have the notion of distinct users - everyone's brushings are evaluated together. As a techie, I would normally love something like this, but so far I have not been terribly motivated to open the app while I'm near my toothbrush so the brushing history can sync, etc. So, while the smartphone/app integration is not currently a major selling point, the really important functionality and quality of the product is there.
