Princesa Dominicana and Ms. LA Sparkle
Since these dolls' reviews have been combined, I'm writing a twofer. #105: I've been wanting to add this Barbie to my collection for awhile now and I'm absolutely thrilled with her! Her black tightly waved hair is really cute; a small section is on the right is held back with an elastic. I like the gold hoop earrings but I wish they were interchangeable (sorry, I will never stop complaining about this), and I think it's pretty awesome that she's breaking rules and rocking a bold horizontal-stripe print dress, which looks amazing. Kudos to this Barbie's design team. 5/5 #110: What I love most about this tall-size Barbie is her unique face and abundance of gorgeous, evenly distributed hair. The brand photos make it look like she has black hair with a few green highlights; my doll's hair is black around the hairline but mostly a pretty hue of pale jade green. I like her sporty, futuristic dress and her shoes, which are a nice addition to the low-heeled foot shape that many tall Barbies have. The only complaint I have is that her hoop earrings aren't easy to change out. You have to use pliers to get them out in one piece and the metallic finish flakes off easily when you do.

Big Beautiful Afro Hair! So in love ;)
This barbie is so gorgeous. She has the cutest hoop earrings, adorable curvy body, great face sculpt and the only awesome big hair. I had bought my daughter the first tall Afro hair barbie in the previous fashionista collection just because her big beautiful hair (at least it was considered big at the time). This new fashionista doll hair is even BIGGER and more power packing. The hair is also black this time instead of the previous barbie's hair that was only a dark brown. I took a picture of both Afro haired barbies just to show the comparison. As you can see this newer fashionista is absolutely vivacious because that hair is wilder than life. I am living for this doll. Love these Afro barbie dolls so much and if Mattel tries to make a even bigger haired doll in the future I will buy that one too. These dolls are too cute :)

Favorite Barbie of the Last Few Years
It's been a tough few years for Barbie collectors. The collector line is low quality (overwhelmingly) and unimaginative. The prices have gone way up, while quality control and the actual fabrics, plastics and face screenings have been consistently flat out bad. I've felt like they took all of the resources they had for the collector line and gave it to the play line. My bitterness has been slightly soothed by this FANTASTIC doll. This is not a collector line doll, but she is exponentially more fabulous, stylist and flat out amazing when compared to much more expensive dolls. I love this doll and recommend buying one if you have a chance as you will not be disappointed! I really hope that Mattel will come out with a Made to Move curvy bodied doll soon with the same complexion tone so that I can swap her head to a more posable body.

#BlackGirlMagic
Just when I thought the selection of Black Barbies couldn't get any better with the Ibtihaj Muhammad Barbie and Fashionista 91 (Varsity Plaiditude/representing Albinism!), they go and give us a wonderful Black Curvy Barbie with the most pretty face and most FABULOUS Kinky Afro you can imagine! Barbie Fashionista 105, is something I would have loved as a little Black girl in the 70's, but I am glad that this Beauty is now available for a whole new generation of little girls who will now see themselves represented in a beautiful and most positive light. I have begun to collect Black Barbies with Afros, and Fashionista 105 is a most welcome addition! Thank you Mattel!

LOVE IT 😍
I absolutely love this doll! It was a Christmas gift for my daughter and she loves it! I love the shape of the doll fell in love with her hair is soft and it hasn't matted up yet like other dolls might have by now. I love how she has curves. She's just beautiful. I love the fact that my daughter can play with a doll of color who resembles actual women of color from the hair to the hips to the lips.

Love Her!
I can’t help but stare at her lovely face. She really is a beautiful doll. The only problem really was the state of her hair coming out of the box. I tried my best to fix her hair but I don’t think her hair looked anything like the picture on the box. It was a mess inside the box before I opened it. I got her when her price decreased because I didn’t even think I was going to buy her. I love the curvy Barbies!

Super Cute!
The Barbie Fashionista Doll #105 is adorable. Her makeup is attractive, and you can style the soft hair. I love that her hips are curvier than the traditional Barbie and because of this I have had a slight problem with clothes fitting her well. I have paired her nicely with my Ken doll making them a fabulous married couple.

Beautiful features, needs articulated bodies and would be exceptional
Absolutely love her face but I really want them to give articulated bodies for these wonderful dolls. Every dolls deserves the capability of maximum imaginative play. I didn't want to take a star for that because I knew what I was getting. Just seems a shame to have to buy two dolls. Her face was worth it. Love her hair!!!!! Her earrings, everything including her curvy body, but I need her to move and she is awesome now. Just wish she had her plus size in m2m

My daughter is really happy to receive this doll. And it’s good on Amazon’s part to be inclusive in their doll collection.

I purchased this Barbie for my African Canadian God daughter for Christmas. I think it’s important for her to have dolls that represent her culture. the Barbie is curvy, and sporting a natural Afro hairstyle. I LOVE it!
