I do like the way these are constructed
I first bought these to use in my high school physics class. They worked great, and the kids really enjoyed being able to position the lasers practically any way they wished--and they stayed in position. I have purchased over 20 of them now, and have not had a problem with any of them. The only downside is that they cost more than the lasers that they hold--but this is the third year that I have used them, so I really can't complain about the price (which has come down after I purchased the first ones). These stands played a major role in the decision to let my students design and perform their own laser-light show!

Nice range of motion, but minor adjustment needed to Barrell.
Very nice infinite range of motion, but some burrs on the inside of the Barrell had to be removed to allow laser to be mounted.

No complaints, very versatile
Stand works great. The ring at the top was a bit smaller than I had anticipated, but that was my fault, so I swapped out a flashlight clamp for it and it’s perfect. You should definitely find something to secure it to, as there’s not enough weight in the base to counterbalance the top, once anything is inserted (laser, flashlight, etc)

Absolute UTTER TRASH.
This is the worst built, poorest designed piece of TRASH that I have bought on Amazon yet. First, the holes drilled in the collar (where you put your laser pointer) have not been chamfered ... or even cleaned up ... so GOOD LUCK fitting a laser pointer in there. I had to scrape away at the inside of the barrel with some scissors to clean it up well enough to slide my laser into it. Next, the little hex nuts which tighten the base to the arm itself WILL NOT STAY TIGHT. If you so much as TOUCH the unit once it is tightened down it will immediately loosen itself up and flop down. I am having to use HOT GLUE to keep the nut in place - and even that is not a good solution because I am using this as an alignment laser holder for a HEAT PRESS. GARBAGE! I would give this negative stars if I could.

You get what you pay for
It's nothing fancy and works just well enough to fit my needs (amateur holography), but the design and machining quality leave a lot to be desired. The base is poorly secured and easily comes loose. I'm considering some thread lock for that. The articulation points are fiddly. There doesn't seem to be a "sweet spot" where you can move it with minimal force and it will stay where you put it; it's either too tight and positioning it accurately is hard, or it's too loose and fixing it in the desired position is difficult because you have to hold it steady while clamping it. The interior of the laser mount has some serious burrs that I had to knock off with a file before my laser would even fit. Works well
I attached this to my long arm sewing machine to McGyver together a laser pointer system. It works well enough!

To small dont buy for big lasers
To small only for pen laser !

works for what I need
The stand works well, the biggest problem is the retaining screws that hold the laser in place. It would be better to have them offset 45 degrees. Because they are in line with each other the laser will wiggle a little side to side. a offset would take care of that.
