Rich, sweet, bitter, and earthy
As with any nut butters that consist of 100% nuts, thorough mixing is required to ensure a thick, spreadable consistency. After mixing I find it helps to leave the container inverted to allow the oil to distribute more evenly throughout the butter, which makes stirring it in before each use much easier. This crunchy pecan nut butter takes everything I love about pecan nuts and concentrates it in to something I can spread on bread, spoon in to my porridge, or just eat straight out of the jar. It's sweet at first, but has a bitter, roasty, earthy aftertaste that coats your palate and lingers for quite a while after it's gone. There's also no shortage of pecan chunks of varying sizes throughout. The sensory experience of crunching up a spoonful of this is my personal definition of "naughty but nice". Pecan nut butter is one of the most calorie dense nut butters on account of the fat content (it does goes without saying that all nut butters are high in fat), and that lends it an incredible richness that means you only need a small amount of it to really appreciate how good it is. Some may find that off-putting, others may recognize the dangers presented by something that becomes so decadent in such small quantities and exercise the restraint to not dive in with a dessert spoon until they feel woozy. I don't think I'm one of those people, sadly. In fact, I think I can hear the jar calling to me from the cupboard downstairs as I type this.

Unusual, healthy alternative
Really nice product, not too dry and bitty, really versatile and can be used in baking. The taste is good and I would recommmend it over other supermarket stocked brands.

DELICIOUS
Despite some of the bad reviews regarding this nut butter I decided to give it a go myself and I’m so pleased I did. I’ve now had 2 small jars in a fortnight and about to purchase the large tub. I found no issues what so ever with the oil’s as it’s exactly what you’d expect from a nut butter and if you give it a good mix it’s absolutely fine. It’s quite crunchy so if you like a smooth butter then don’t go for this one but I absolutely loved the crunch and the large pieces of pecan. It’s very creamy and nutty and ontop of my apple tastes divine. I would highly recommend this butter, it is quite pricey but nuts are expensive now a days and you get what you pay for.

Great
I bought the crunchy version of this nut butter and its so amazing. Once you mix the oils back in, its a proper butter that tastes great. I have it with dates and honestly such a good combination. The only issue I would say is the price: £6.30 for 170g is a lot and it finishes quite quickly too but ive not found any other pecan butters that are cheaper so I'm guessing pecan nuts are just expensive overall.

Goopy watery mess ! Pecan Butter more like crushed pecans floating in a sea of oily fluid.
Absolute joke ! In no shape or form is this butter. There is no stiffness/thickness to it. Basically it is crushed pecan chunks FLOATING in a liquid of oily fluid. Who ever is manufacturing this should be ashamed and reported to the food police for false advertisement. Do not buy if your wanting a thick firm paste (what a nut butter should be anyway) cause you will be sorely disappointed. The flavour is lovely thought.

Definitely not butter
Definitely not a butter..it’s very runny, with large and small pieces of nut. Tastes really nice once it’s had a really good stir.. It’s not been ground fine enough to form a buttery consistency..lots of oil and bits.. Not easily spreadable Wouldn’t buy again Wouldn’t recommend if you require a spreadable butter

Seriously delicious
I had this on some toasted brioche and it tasted amazing! I didn't have any of the issues of other reviews on here with it containing whole nuts or being too runny. Yes the oil separates but you expect that with all natural nut butters. This nut butter does contain little pieces of nut which means it might not be suitable for babies (which is what I bought it for - but that's my fault for not reading the label properly - it clearly says it on there!). That's fine with me though as I am perfectly happy to eat it myself. I've had several different nut butters before (peanut, cashew, pistachio) but this one excels them all for flavour. I'm really impressed.

It does contain large pieces of nut in the spread so doesn’t actually spread! Tasty though.
