This is very good for finding medium to large leaks on condenser coils.

Ultrasonic leak detector didn't work for me. I first tried it on a known leak on my air compressor line. Then I tried it on a small known leak on a refrigerant system receiver nothing. Tried it on a coil, nothing. I boxed it back up and sent it back.

This helps so much in locating leaks in HVAC systems. Highly recommended!

2 major issues. 1. The thing can't detect anything you can't already hear with normal hearing. While it does detect the frequency as claimed, i could hear pressurized air leaking from my (broken)water pipes with my naked ears WAY before this thing ever lit up its lights. 2. The main ultrasonic microphone was so poorly made that when I unscrewed it from the main body to install the other attachment it separated in the wrong threaded location and ripped the wires right out of the assembly. Come to find out it was literally just assembled with a stick of hot glue. Waste of $150.00 and my time. Returned it Pronto.

I do work in industrial maintenance so I have used much more expensive equipment. I was a little bit worried that this wouldn't work how I needed it to work. I used it to find a leak in a refrigeration system at home and it worked great. It's plastic, which I would expect for this price, so I plan on treating it as gently as possible. I would recommend picking up some leak detection fluid to go along with it because a lot of times that leak detection fluid will help to amplify the very small and very slow leaks

The only thing that would set it off is waving across an electrical outlet. Couldn't pick up a bearing I could hear with my naked ear.
