Super fresh and great smell! Hardily any bad or dry pods. Most were bright green. Great quality for the price point and work great as a strong seasoning. I'll definitely purchase again.

I have purchased from Frontier Co-op many times, but this is the first time I have tried their Organic Green Cardamom Pods. Their Cardamom was precisely what I was looking for: a pleasant aroma, a subtle but sweet taste, and a very light peppery aftertaste. Perfect.

These were super fresh with an amazing scent. They were a beautiful green color. All of the pods seemed in excellent condition. I make my own chai and wanted to have a good amount of cardamom on hand. My chai tasted and smelled fantastic. This one pound bag was a good buy. My purchase was in Dec. 2025.

A little bitter when chewing but not egregious. Does a good job promoting a restful sleep.

They were fair quality. Not so great but not all terrible. Many of the seeds were dried out and didn't taste right, so I don't think I'll buy them again. The only problem is they are one of the only brands on Amazon that offers organic whole green cardamom pods.

They seemed a bit pricy, however the quality has been good although I have found quite a few empty pods so far which surprised me. I've bought other brands of cardamom pods and had never found empty ones before.

I bought these pods a few years ago, and was very happy with them. When I returned to reorder them, I was unfortunately swayed by some of the other (inaccurate) reviews, and ended up trying another brand that was mentioned. I regret that decision, and I don't think I will ever purchase another brand of cardamom again! These are by far the freshest, plumpest, most flavorful pods I have ever purchased. I use approximately ten pods per day in tea and mango smoothies and ice water, and amongst all the other pods I have tried, these are by far the best. I need fewer pods to achieve the same flavor, and they are so sweet (in a cardamom sense) that I end up using less sugar in my tea. I hesitate to leave this review in case others hoard my beloved cardamom, but the difference between these and other brands is so significant that I thought it was only fair to share my thanks with Frontier and the amazing growers who raise these lovely pods!

I have gotten the Indus brand a few times and for some reason the last time I purchased Cardamom, I decided to try the Frontier brand (bought the 1lb bag through Amazon). Let me set the stage a bit for you...I eat cardamom straight out of the pods...they are a snack for me, so I have a pretty good idea what tastes good (and what doesn't since I eat them straight rather than cook much with them). Ok, back to my experience...I was just about out of the Indus cardamom and my new shipment (the Frontier cardamom) arrived just in time. I was looking forward to opening up the bag and smelling the awesome aromas of cardamom...ahhh... Well, there was a bit of a disappointment because I only sort of smelled the aroma...nonetheless, I continued on pouring some of them into a small jar that I could put on the shelf. This is when I got my second disappointment...the pods of the Frontier cardamom were dull, colorless and seemed old whereas the Indus cardamom are green, sweet smelling and seem quite fresh! Trying something new didn't work out this time. Lesson learn....Indus...I'M BACK AND I AM NOT LEAVING YOU AGAIN!!!! I had a few of the Indus cardamom left, so I took a picture showing both of the brands so you don't have to take my word for it...a picture is worth a thousand words....
