It's permanent gel ink and perfect for check writing!
It's a great pen and exactly what I needed for writing checks.

Very good for check writing
These pens are supposed to be able to be used for checks and not be dissolved or tampered with. That is what I bought them for. So far I've not had any problems with them and they have a very bold ink. Nice flow to the pen also.

Very nice writing pen
Hope they help check safety too. I must add that quality issues did arise, and second purchase pens were inconsistent ink flow and skipping. Will continue to use in hopes I just purchased one bad pack.

Best pen I bought in a long time. I do a lot of writing, and this pen is #1.
I love this pen. The ink when writing doesn't get with blots of ink on the paper or your hand. It writes nice and smooth and not to fine but just right. The ink is between fine & bold. I bought also Pilot precise V5 RT fine point and I am not a happy camper with them. The pen when writing bc the tip is so fine & sharp it put holes in the paper when writing at times. The point and ink is way to fine for me. I'll take the ENER gel pen any day over the Pilot precise V5 RT.

Great security pen
This is not just a pen. This is a great security pen. I suggested to my mother that when writing checks she use this pen. Fast forward to a few months later…The mail was stolen from inside her post office. She had written a check to her utility company. That check was among the mail stolen from her post office. My mother was told to file a police report and to notify her bank as well. Her check was never cashed. The police and the bank asked her what type of pen she used. They both said ‘good choice’ criminals can’t wash a check with this type of ink. She was so thankful and impressed by how a simple pen saved her from a criminal washing her check and reusing it to their benefit. Bottom line… if you write checks, use this pen!

Pentel Energel Pro vs. Uniball Signo 207+
Pentel Energel Pro vs Uniball Signo 207+ Comfort: The Energel is a little beefier than the 207, barrel and length wise, but the 207 grip is bigger and squishier, though the texture of the grip on the Energel feels nice. The curvature of the 207 feels alot more natural than the straight barrel of the Energel, topped off with the bigger squishier grip, i give this point to the 207+ Design & Build Quality: The Energel feels a little heavier and more robust than the 207 and has a gloss finish. Although the 207's walls feel a little thinner than the Energel's thick solid plastic i find the matte finish to look a little more premium it makes it where you cant tell its plastic off sight alone like you can with the Energel, and the big fat bar code on the side of the Energel isnt too flattering either. The 207 also has a metal clip which is where the Energel really cheaped out on with a hollow backed plastic clip which if youre like me and break clips all the time youll really appreciate that about the 207. And lastly the Energel is not openable or refillable which was really disappointing for a pen of this price point. Another point for the 207+ (The energel does have a more satisfying 'click' though if that matters to you) Writing: This one was tough as they are both top of the line when it comes to gel pens, but i do feel like the Energel's inkflow feels a little smoother than the 207 and the ink is much darker and bolder (on both blue and black models) but there is something about the 207 when your pen glides across the paper its like you can feel the ball tip rolling when you write which gives a more responsive and precise feel. With that being said, i asked others to try both and tell me which writes smoother and it was unanimously the Energel Pro and in terms of smoothness and what the ink looks like on paper id have to agree so this one goes to the Energel Pro Overall you really cant go wrong with either of these pens if youre looking for the smoothest boldest gel pen you can find id go with the Energel Pro. If youre just looking for a sleek comfortable daily writer thats smooth but still really responsive id go with the 207+

DO NOT STAY ON NYLON MATERIAL!!!
I ordered nylon tabs to identity cords. Amazon popped up these pens to write on these tabs. THEY ARE WORTHLESS on these nylon tabs!!! As soon as I used my fingers to pinch the tabs together, I looked at the tab & some of the writing was missing! DO NOT ORDER THESE PENS TO USE WITH NYLON TAGS!!! Would not let me submit without one star!😜
