This is a fantastic book. It was recommended by one of my instructors, who is trying to guide me to become a better instructor. He said it was a must read and I heartily agree. Krishnamacharya started his instruction with the needs and physiological structure of the student rather than making the student a slave to the pose. He also emphasized the connection of movement to the breath, letting it be your guide. His son, Desikachar, does a wonderful job explaining his teachings.

This book is one of my favorite books. It has so much wisdom in it's pages. My most favorite chapter is "Things that darken the heart " . Every time I open this book, I grow richer. I cherish it! If you are looking for the wisdom of Yoga in a simple language, go for this book.

Very good book for basic knowledge of yoga. I belief every yoga aspirant first read this book thoroughly and then other practical books on yoga. Very fascinating to read this book. It gives insight knowledge of theoretical part of yoga. It is precise in words by very comprehensive in theoretical knowlege of yoga.
