Great trimmer!
I got this hedge trimmer few weeks back and very pleased with my choice. The price is write and it is a very good quality product. I use it myself to trim my ficus trees/hedges and I do not have any previous training or experience in gardening. The hedge is about 9-10 feet high and about 20 feet long. I am able to keep a straight line because the blade is long and powerful. It’s amazing what you can achieve with this trimmer. Oh, btw, I am 5’3” and pretty light weight. This trimmer is very easy to use and the battery life is great too.I definitely recommend this product!

Good quality and works great
These work great! I have several Worx lawn care products & tools now and I am so glad I found them. Power share is awesome!!! Well worth every penny! I was skeptical about buying battery powered lawn equipment but I have to say I was surprised at how long the batteries last and how well they work. With Gass powered you have trouble with carburetors more than anything if you do not run them completely out of treated gas before winter storage. With these you do not have to worry about all that. I HIGHLY recommend Worx power tools and lawn equipment.

Worx like a charm
For starters, I got to know the Worx brand, thanks to Costco. At one point, a Black and Decker cordless drill had malfunctioned, so I bought one that they sell on sale at Costco. It seemed to me to be of quite good construction and I loved that the battery lasted much longer than that of the other drill. That was around 2017. And yes, I still have the batteries and they work perfectly.Due to the pandemic, I have to stay home longer, and I decide to take care of the garden myself. I don't live in the USA, but in Costa Rica, a country with a tropical climate, so the garden tools I had to buy were for weekly use (here everything grows very quickly in the rainy season, which is 6-7 months a year) , and that the purchase would not leave my wallet at zero, since all this had to be brought via courier from the USA, so the final price for me is much higher than the purchase on Amazon, since I have to include freight and formalities. This led me to Worx. I remembered the different tools that I bought after that brand, and that they all operate with the same batteries, and when I noticed that they had a 20V and 40V system, but using the same batteries that I already have, it seemed to me that it was a good alternative.About this trimmer. First, it works very well, it is fast, it cuts easily all kinds of bushes.Would you change something? Without a doubt yes. First, the batteries that it comes with are 4A, and I think they should be 5A to last longer. Otherwise, I really find it very satisfying.I use this trimmer to maintain cane that I have on the perimeter, several flower hedges, several trees that occupy a circular shape, and a giant hedge that is on the side of the road in front of the property. In all cases it has worked very well, giving clean and fast cuts. I even used it to cut weeds that were a bit high (I already bought a trimmer for that). It is a tool that I use weekly and I can say that I like it a lot.

Highly recommend!
I had a great need for a cordless trimmer. My last trimmer and I had a lot of issues cutting the power cable. I had one cord that seemed to get shorter each year. Enough was enough! I own a Worx string trimmer and blower so knew I wanted this trimmer. Turns out it’s my favorite piece of equipment!!Out of the box it’s pretty straight forward. Clip in the safety switch handle and put in 4 Phillips screws. Remove two screws and add the shield and your ready to roll. Charger is a nice quick charge 2 slot charger. Has wall mounts on the back as well.Within a couple hours I was trimming away. At first glance this thing is terrifying looking. Nice long arm and gnarly teeth. It cuts like butter though. I had no issues with any of the hedges, spruce trees, weeds and grass, or voluntary trees. It just cut away! Handle has a nice rotate feature and trigger is easy and natural to deal with.It got a little heavy by the time is was done but battery life was not an issue at all.Highly recommend!!

Thinking outside the box
When getting into cordless tools, you are buying into a product platform. What brand do I like or trust, what voltage will be best for me, what tools will be avalible in that platform. A lot of thought must be taken before you invest into cordless tools unles you want several different typs and voltage batteries and chargers clutering your work space, not to mention the added cost of not standerdising you system.Worx did a great job of making that E Z to figure out. It seems that they think outside the box to design great tools, to make there tools more practicale and to do more. This is a perfect example of the thought they put into there tools so you can get the best bang for the buck! Now I can take 2 - 20v batteries that I would use from a hand drill, combine them in this trimmer and get 40v power to do outdoor work! How great is that, I can expand into cordless out door tools using the same batteries I use in a hand drill with no problem at all. This has the power to cut threw 3/4in branches, and it trims with a clean and crisp cut unlike my old electric trimmer that just shredded its way threw.I will be buying more from Worx and hope that you will give it a try, you will be happy you did

reasonable value for the occasional user
5.12.2022 Overall I am satisfied with the WG284 .. I unpacked it and after checking for full charge, proceeded to trim by ever greens and box woods... handles these with relative ease... a little slow -but tolerably so. I appreciatethe 24 inches compared to my old BD 18" corded. This lingth kind of offset the slower cutting pace of the 284. 3 20V batteries lasted about 1 hr of actual cutting time. life expectancy... to early to tell.Pros:24 " /// Ok balance ///batery quick charges /// safe -two handed triggerCons:a little heavy // not a strong cutter- under 1/8 inch stems // only 1 hr cutting timeI agree with the instructions ... this is not for commercial use. in fact I woudl say its for the occasional user (I will trim 2 to 3 times per summer 1 charge each time.)
