This is a good book, but it seems a little difficult for Level One reading. I expected the words to be simpler. But I'm sure my new young readers will grow into it. We like all the Charlie books a lot.

It's adorable, I love Bassets anyway, I wish they'd had these books when I was a kid. After I read them, I give them to a School Librarian friend of mine, and the kids ask her to read the "Charlie" books again and again. No one stays angry or left out in these books, excellent reading, promotes positive group values for kids. Judy in Fresno

My grandson gets me to read these every time he visits.

My 5 year old loves this book. Would definitely recommend as we have other books by this author. Can't go wrong with Charlie dog books. :)
