Good Buy.
Recently rehabbed my old Cerwin Vega DX9 speakers using the Simply Speakers foam rubber surrounds for the 15" woofers that I bought via Amazon. These are home speakers, but they are fuse protected 4 ohm and rated for 400 watts each. Needed a separate amp to run them. Didn't care about fan noise as I needed an amp to crank rock music at concert volume in my living room. Also needed RCA jacks as I used my Yamaha A/V receiver as a pre-amp via the left/right front surround outs to the amp and then 12 gauge wire to these two (monster) speakers. The amp would not be used for home theater. It's only on when it needs to get LOUD listening to aggressive rock powering just the DX9's. I started looking at rack mount pro DJ/club equipment as I like things to last, and home gear just doesn't stand up to the abuse of the power demands of the volume levels that I like. This amp has rubber feet and is the size of home stereo equipment. The rack mount plates are removable. I did an Amazon search for "DJ amplifiers" and saw this Pyle 3100 and couldn't believe the price. I didn't know they were still around. My buddy in the '80's had Pyle car audio that sounded good and never blew up, so they've been making equipment for quite awhile. I'm a big fan of not paying too much and finding "diamonds in the rough" in good sounding cheap-skate stuff. I'm not an audio engineer, but I know the most important component of a solid state amp is the ring transformer and (after a little research) decided to take a chance and order this amp with the idea that if it was a piece of junk, would return it and pay more for a solid state amp from Crown (tube amp costing thousands being out of the question). Got everything hooked up and put Tool's Aenima in the 'ol Sony CD player. Wow! Those old DX9's never sounded so good! String bass growl like I've never heard before. Kick drum punching me in the face. Highs crisp and chiming with lots of space. Really aggressive, dynamic, and warm sounding. I'm sure using a decent receiver as a pre-amp helped. Beauty. Not returning. I've played a lot of music in the last month. Stuff that makes my buddy's system crumble at volume (like Sting's bass on Walking on the Moon from the Police Certifiable live CD) this thing handles no problem. He thinks it's the mighty DX9's making a cheap amp sound good, but it's the fifth, and best sounding, amp I've used to power these speakers. (These speakers blow home stereo amps!) Nit pick time. The power on LED was blinding the crap out of me at eye level sitting on the couch, so I had to cover it with a small piece of blue masking tape to dim it (it's supposed to be that bright for pro use in dark environments). The cooling fan sounds like.....a cooling fan. The amps runs cool to the touch on the outside of the case. Bueno. There's NO WAY this is a 3100 watt amp at a $120 price point. You already knew that. Good sounding amp for cheap. Get it.

Pretty Awesome Power Amplifier
This amplifier is pretty good for the money. The amp just arrived at my house today, i just unboxed it and everything seems to be working perfectly fine. I am using this amp for a home stereo system, i have two speakers running on each channel, 4ohms per channel (which is 8ohms per speaker), this thing handles it like a champ, it can easily shake my house. The sound quality is very good, just make sure you already have a stereo preamplifier, or any other signal processing equipment. To be honest, i was actually kind of skeptical of pyle pro, first off because i have never heard of them before and because they have very little product reviews, but i'm pretty impressed with this amp. If you got some big speakers and need some power on a budget, get this amp, its cheap not to big, but packs a big punch. I gave this amp a five star because it does everything i personally need it to do.

Nice amp, just don't believe power claims
Bought this to bring some good sound to our 50 x 100 foot shop building, think they just stick wattage ratings on that have no basis in reality. Says 3100 watts...realistically seems to be about 250 watts per channel. Replaced an older Realistic amp that put up 250watts/channel, and this one sounds about the same. Clean sound, happy with overall operation of unit, but does not push speaker system any harder than old unit. I bought because of price, and not really complaining...just feel that there is a little exaggerating about it's capabilities and output. I do note that nowadays seems to be the norm in advertising audio amplifier gear. We'll see how long it lasts...old unit went 25+ years before losing one channel. Am going to repair old unit...

PYLE IS A PYLE
i JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THAT ANYONE COULD BE PROUD OF PRODUCING A PRODUCT LIKE THIS FIRST PROBLEM WAS RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I PLUG THE THING IN USING THE SUPPLIED POWER CORD TURN IT ON...... BEAUTIFUL THEN POOF IT SHUTS DOWN. TURN IT OFF& BACK ON NOTHING WIGGLE THE POWER CORD AND IT COMES ON AND SHUTS OFF AGAIN. READY TO RETURN THIS THING AS I DIDN'T WANT TO CHANCE IT AT MY NEW YEARS EVE GIG. ON A WHIM I SWAPPED OUT THE POWER CORDS AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW IT POWERED UP AND STAYED ON. NOT TRUSTING THIS THING I BROUGHT AS PARE AMP JUST IN CASE AND BOY WAS I RIGHT. SET EVERYTHING UP TURNED IT ON ,EVERYTHING WAS SOUNDING GREAT I WAS ACTUALLY IMPRESSED. WELL I NOTICED A LOWER VOLUME FROM ONE OF THE CHANNELS AND I THOUGHT IT TO POSSIBLY BE THE OUTPUT WIRE FROM MY CONTROLLER . I WENT TO DISCONNECT FROM THE BACK OF THE PYLE O AMP AND THE WHOLE CONNECTION PULLED OUT FROM THE BACK OF THE AMP!!! I HAVE NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN AND I HAVE BEEN A MOBILE DJ FOR 35 YEARS JUST PATHETIC. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE KNOW WHEN I OPENED THE OWNERS MANUAL AND IT WAS WRITTEN IN CHINESE BROKEN ENGLISH. YOU MAY LAUGH BUT THAT IS YOU FIRST CLUE THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO TAKE A NOT SO FANTASTIC VOYAGE ON THE STRUGGLE BUS.LUCKILY AMAZON HAS AN EASY RETURN POLICY. i AM GOING BACK TO MY VINTAGE AMP THAT i KNOW WON'T LET ME DOWN AT CRUNCH TIME. MORAL OF THE STORY, YA GET WHAT YA PAY FOR

I bought this amp 5 years ago to power our practice PA system not intending to use it for really anything else and never thought I’d use it in a show setting. Well we had a last minute booking and couldn’t find someone to fill in on short notice for our sound so we made the decision to take our practice rig to the show. We only had this amp to power everything. So just wanting to play we loaded our stage monitors all into the right side of the amp and our two front end speakers onto the right side. I thought well there goes this amp but to our amazement we did the whole show with out any hiccups. This amp is still running strong today and we’ve used it at least five times since. Now we have another amp to run our fronts but I have to say that this cheap little amp has been very very good to us. For the price I paid I’m ok if this one quits. I’ll just keep buying them. Love this amp.

La verdad me impresiono mucho, lo tengo para 2 bocinas bose 251 y dos bose freespace 51 y me las levanto sin ningun problema. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

It was good the first couple of times and now doesn't perform remotely close to acceptable. Not enough juice to power the speakers to a good volume.
