Celine Dion - A New Day - Live in Las Vegas

The Blu-ray edition of this fantastic concert is a real treat. From a technical point of view it is a diamond, and should be the benchmark for all other to follow. From a emotional point of view, well thats another story... I am a grown man 37 years of age - and not what you would call a Celine Dion fan. I know her name and some of her music - and thats it. The fact is that I was stunned, - and just sat with eyes watering and mouth open, - totally blown away by this incredible singer. The show is ever surprising, and Celines extremely big and clear voice is breathtaking. The songs selected for the concert demonstates that this Girl can do anything from sweet ballads, Stevie Wonder Classics over Disco and more - and she does it with such feeling and honesty that you cant avoid being sucked in. This disc is one of the best HD experiences so far for me - and a prime example of when both the emotional and technical quality hits the peak, - as when Celine sings the theme song from Titanic more beautiful than ever, hitting that second gear in the last 1/3 of the song - the whole experience can make a grown man like me burst into tears being hit by goose bumps all over. Now I shared this with you - enjoy one fantastic concert that will leave you intrigued ..... - Celine Dion fan or not. Celine, thank you for doing this - this was truly a better day!

I bought this Dvd in Blu-ray format, and then ordered one in Normal Format for my Lovely Monster in Law, Sylvia. My in Laws in are in their late 70s, but have a great sound system (helps when you are half deaf), and humongous plasma screen (also helps when you have to reach for that magnifying glass that Nana had to use in the Royle Family), It is Simply Superb. There is no way in hell's chance that there is a better Music Dvd out there. 3 years in the Making. The stage show was wonderful. 100 foot Lcd Screen, Celine performed in front of. Directed by the same guy that does Cirque Du Soleil. I only now buy Music Dvds as at least you do not mind playing them more than once, and by the time you get to the final track, Titanic theme, you will be reaching for your hanky (if any american is reading this, I mean Kleenex ). Celine is a genuine person, unlike many out there.

We had previously seen this concert on Sky, and had been totally totally impressed by it. Now we have found the DVD on Amazon, which arrived the very next day from our order and well done Amazon yet again. This is Celine at her very very best with a supporting cast on stage who were the best, and a scenic backdrop that was so so unbelieveable it left you wondering how could they creat those effects. A good number of classic Celine songs with a good mix of new, but for us the duet with Sinatra and the last song " My heart will go on " along with several others on this DVD brought tears to both of us. In fact we played this DVD 4 times in one night it was that good. If you are into Celine then go for this, everything about it is just what you want from a really really fantastic Concert. Our regret is that we will never be able to see it live.

There is never going to be enough one can say about this DVD, buy it, watch it, watch it, and watch it again, because you will absolutely want to. I admit to being a HUGE Celine Dion Fan and have been for a very long time, I was fortunate enough to see the show in Vegas 3 times, the DVD brings back the splendour of the show, but has already been stated, it doesn't reflect the reality of being in the coliseum live, but it's pretty darned close. On the DVD there is a documentary following some fans to Vegas, one lady had seen the show 83 times, since having the DVD, I have every danger of catching up with her. If you love a good show, music and dancing and drama all in one, then this might be the best 10.00 you ever spend.

Released in 2007 following a four-year string of 700 shows seen by unprecedented 3 million people in Las Vegas Caesars Palace, the rich-featured double-DVD (over 5 hours of footage) shows Celine Dion at her natural, uncomplicated best. Starting the concert will all-too-familiar hits, the show gets more interesting as it continues. Covering Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner suits her fine, the "If I Could" anthem on motherly love is genuinely touching and her best-known hit "My Heart Will Go On" clinches the spectacle directed by Franco Dragone of Cirque de Soleil in quite an understated fashion. The era of Celine topping the charts is long past, but the DVD will remain a testimony of a unique artist, whose singing qualities are recognized across the board even by those who can do without her style. The 1,5-hour concert is complemented on Disc 1 with a tribute to her fans (some have seen the show over 30 times. Ugh.). The Disc 2 offers a two-hour all-access documentary and 53-minute doc on the show's inception, realization and overall impact.

There will never be a songress quite like Ms Dion. Not only can she sings, she can dance and oozes class and multi talented to outrun her contemporaries in the industry. If you are a diehard fan, you are very much in for a big treat with this collaboration of her songs and to top it all great sets to delight your visual field. Since viewing this dvd had prompted me to purchase a lifetime experience to see Celine in concert next year. Hopefully all being well and I get to go and experience all the delight in the midst of this ongoing pandemic.

I saw the live show in Vegas and could not wait to see the DVD and it did not dissapoint! I felt captivated by her all the way through and the power of her voice is just outstanding...if you have never seen a Celine show/concert before then you are in for a real treat and if you have, then believe me this is nothing like her tours, which I have seen and absolutely loved, no this takes the Celine experience to the next level and she just keeps getting better and better! My favourite? Has to be "I Surrender". I feel out of breath just listening to her.....a DVD to treasure!

Aunque de segunda mano, con la portada algo arañada, los discos se visualizan perfectamente. Un concierto espectacular con un sonido envolvente y calidad de video muy buenos.

A great purchase and an incredible second disk. It follows Celine from home to right through the concert and back. It shows the backstage preparations, efficiency of the production, costume and set changes and an amazing well coordinated production staff. Celine is not just an incredible voice but an amazing entertainer and a compassionate and caring human being. Her being a Canadian exemplifies the traits that we are known by and we are so proud of this export of goodwill that it isn't really good enough to just say thank you Celine. You will be dazzled by the production and the show itself and please note the joy that is so apparent on the faces in the audience.

Ich bin kein ausgewiesener Celine Dion Fan. Aber diese Doppel-BluRay hat mich sofort begeistert. Schon das Klappcover mit dem fast 40 seitigen Informationsbüchlein in Hochglanzformat (Infos zu den beiden BluRays, Texte, viele Bilder) ist nichts alltägliches. Die HD-Bildqualität des Konzertmitschnitts ist absolute Spitze, ebenso die Bildqualität des Bonusmaterials. Da kann man sich gar nicht satt sehen an der Brillanz des Bildes, der Schärfe und den satten (aber nie zu aufdringlichen) Farben. Alles ist immer absolut klar und deutlich. Tonmäßig habe ich bislang noch nicht sehr viel besseres gehört, aber schon wesentlich mehr schlechteres. Der DolbyHD-Klang ist sauber ausgesteuert und kommt über eine AV Anlage wirklich fast perfekt rüber. Bässe, Mitten und Höhen passen. Ein Klangerlebnis par excellance. Auch die Bonus Features der beiden Scheiben sind erste Sahne. Man bekommt unter anderem zu sehen, was während des gesamten Konzertes -über 90 Minuten- hinter, unter und über der Bühne geschieht. Großteils in Split-Screen-Technik. Absolut beeindruckend. Auch die musikalische und künstlerische Darbietung von Celine Dion und ihren Tänzerinnen und Tänzern ist sehenswert. Ihre Stimme ist klasse und die nicht zu aufdringliche Choreographie ebenfalls. Alles passt toll zusammen, ergänzt sich gegenseitig, es reiht sich Hit an Hit - die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug. Als ich alles gesehen und gehört hatte -insgesamt geben die beiden BluRays 5 Stunden lang digitale Daten ab- war ich mir sicher, dass diese BluRay jeden einzelnen Cent, den sie kostet, wert ist. Ich freu mich auf die nächste Vorstellung in meinem Wohnzimmer und würde die Scheibe(n) jederzeit wieder kaufen.

I would not believe any performance would be flawlessly perfect until I saw this! The choreography is amazing and I was stunned by all of the visuals. Celion Dion is probably one the best if not the best singer on earth. Im a typical guy who does not enjoy most musicals or sappy concerts. What amazed me is the artistry in this show!
