This crossbow is wickedly awesome
As this is my first c/b pistol, I am very happy with my selection.. Of all the possibilties to choose from this Mantis stuck out for many reasons. But when it arrived and opened the box, I was pleasantly please! the pistol handle feels great in the hand. The bow part comes preassembled and all that is needed is to attach the bow with 2 sturdy allen head screws. The construction for me, I would say is top notch! The bow uses 2 metal cables (not string). Making this crossbow last much longer with prolonged tension thru-out. The draw is smooth and easy to cock and load. This came with the steel shot as well as 3 darts, 3 fishing bolts, 3 target bolts, 3 small spooled fish line ready to attach. It did take a little bit to hone in accuracy, but once achieved it is a very nice toy. But do not get me wrong this is definately NOT a toy by any means!!! This has PENETRATION!!!

Cheap Cheap cheap
Followed the very limited instructions. Won't shoot the small pellets and just a cheap waste of money

Not. A Toy
This is the coolest compact pistol crossbow. I purchased others in the past, this is the best by far. All materials are metal no plastic. It’s not a toy and doesn’t feel like one. A must have for outdoor fun.

TL;DR You need this.
Had this thing for over 2 years and fired it hundreds of thousands of times. Absolutely love it. Coolest thing I've gotten on Amazon by far. Granted the bb shooting is kinda ehhh. But the arrows and fishing attachments are awesome. If you want to practice then use just a regular dart board. Its not strong enough to pierce all the way through so as long as you aren't a terrible shot using it indoors is super fun.

Trigger release jammed the fell out of the pistol
Really disappointed fired of 14 balls, 15 ball loaded, trigger wouldn’t pull, noticed the trigger safety release button could not be pushed all the way in, as we were trying to decide how to release the ball pistol went off, presumably at the same time the trigger safety release popped out of the pistol—simply to dangerous to keep.

String and small
I bought this as a fun toy for myself. It’s much stronger than anticipated though aiming take a bit. The bb option is great

I really like it it looks like it'll do a lot of things
What I don't like is that the arrows in the picture did not come with it. There was a hole in the outer shipping package but I don't think that affected the product on the inside. However the smaller arrows shown in the picture did not come with it and none of the arrows are fishing arrows also which is shown in the picture. And it's really hard to get a hold of anyone on here to ask questions about getting them replaced without doing a full refund. And since this was the last one they had in stock I'm not going to give up the whole crossbow just because of the missing arrows

great design concept, but will require tinkering to work at all
Very tiny. Off-putting until I realized the power, heft, etc. was great. Rails are strange segmented 11mm's that mimic picatannys. Tolerances and general workmanship so bad that I still don't have it working right and may never. Would love (and pay big for) a well-built version.
