Nexus 5 Case - Ringke FUSION Case [Free HD Film/Drop Protection][BLACK] Shock Absorption Bumper Premium Hard Case for Google Nexus 5 - Eco/DIY Package

This is the best case I have ever owned. Have used it for over 4 months.- Have dropped the phone multiple times without a problem and without a scratch on the case or phone.- The front (outer) edge is slightly raised making it very easy to grip the phone from a flat surface.- The front of the edge is raised above the screen preventing damage when you throw the phone on the table (screen down)- The best part is the clear backing. You can store notes, numbers, if found info etc. under the clear backing.- Charge cables and audio jack plugs in without a problem.- The back of cover shields the camera lens from damageI have not experienced anything negative about this protector.Six stars (if it was possible)PS. I forgot to mention that the phone buttons also work perfectlyUPDATEI have now used this case everyday for a year. The phone has been dropped more times than I can remember. The case is still in perfect condition and all the buttons work without a glitch. THE BEST THING - THE PHONE STILL LOOKS LIKE IT IS BRAND NEW WHEN I TAKE IT OUT.

Time of ownership: 1 year, 9 monthsThe Nexus 5 is now quite old so I'm not sure how many folks are still buying accessories for it. But for what it's worth, I have to let you know this is not a good case to buy:1) The phone jack is too narrow. Not all headphones will fit through the case to plug into the jack. I had to drill mine, then it was okay.2) The clear plastic scratches and scuffs over time. This might be okay if you really do want a clear case to show off a picture, but otherwise, it's a drawback.3) Worsr of all, it did NOT protect my phone in a drop with the display face down. The edges do not stick up enough to truly protect it. Because of this, the sides are too loose and floppy and the corners of my phone were constantly sticking themselves out of the case.After having case loosen up too much so a corner always stuck out, I finally ditched the case for a different one. It's a similar case -- similar thickness and appearance -- and even comes in a clear color if you want. And it's much more secure around the edges and sticks up more on the front to protect it.

Plus the covered buttons never quite functioned well, I have to press hard.Both cases, other than look, still offer good enough protection (if one is careful) and minimum bulk and weight.So bought this to update the Nexus 5 look. What a difference. Immediately I notice how well design the covered buttons on both sides are. I am getting sensitivity like using the phone without the case. Great to know it mimics the original buttons so well.The clear skin on the back shows off the original beauty (white) of my Nexus. Since I have always been using a case to protect, the phone appears brand new like 18 months ago. Time will tell if this clear cover will stay clear and not oxidize. Will update if necessary.Everything else is exactly what I expect, fit and finish similar to the other 2 cases I had.

I guess a lot of reviewers are complaining about the sharpness of the mold lines, and I understand but it doesn't bother me, although it could have been smoother, I won't mark them down. I kind of feel like it grips my hand better and is less likely to slip loose, that way. Mold lines are more noticeable on the corners, however, visual not tactile.The back is as smooth as the Gorilla Glass on the front, and it's supposedly somewhat scratch resistant too... but what I didn't see advertised, and it's my favorite feature - there are basically feet on the corners that keep the back off the table, so I don't have to worry about exactly *how* scratch resistant the crystal clear glossy plastic is. It makes my white Nexus look even better. The lip on the front is just tall enough too, to let me rest the phone face down without worry.This case went on easily and fits well, and like everyone, I wish it were a little thinner, but, again I won't mark it down. It's not THAT thick, it's just that it isn't a skin, it's a case. I can't be thicker than 1.5mm on each wall. The only cases I've seen that were thinner than that were cheap silicone skins. It literally can't be any thinner and still do what it was designed to do, so it's fine. Remember, this case is supposed to protect a $400 dollar item, and has to be thick enough to do so, especially in the corners.If there is a negative, it's that the DIY template is the exact size of the backing, so you'll need to cut outside the lines rather than inside them, but I don't plan on using anything for a while anyway I want to show off my white Nexus! Caution though, if you have a white Nexus too: If you're using a printed image in your case, take care to be mindful of moisture getting to the paper around the camera-hole, I'd worry that ink may run/transfer onto the white backing.

Not happy with this case at all, I was sat on a chair with my arms at knee height, because the phone is very big it can be quite fiddly to hold depending which part of the screen you are using.Because of the clear plastic back to this case there is very little grip, this resulted in me dropping my phone less then two feet on to a lino floor.The phone fell flat screen side down, so should have been ok, but it resulted in a hairline crack across the bottom left hand corner of the screen.The only real purpose of this case is to show off the 'NEXUS' lettering down the back of the phone, it offers very little or no grip in the hand and doesn't do it's job of protecting the phone from very small drops on to non concrete floors.I have now replaced this case with the Tradesman Spider style case which offers much more protection around the screen edges

It is a decent case as the other reviews have mentioned. However, when putting in headphones such as Dr Dre Beats Tour, you have to put them in facing away from the phone as it is an L-shaped pin/jack and with the case on the headphones do not stay in. You can just about squeeze them in at another angle but you won't feel those subtly clicks as they go in and is most likely to come loose. Other headphones that have a jack/pin that are straight will have no problems with the case at all.

Although this case has protected my phone from a few drops, a lot of dirt get into the clear bit, making the phone appear dirty. it has also cause small dents/holes in the soft plastic back of my phone that are permanent. the case has also fallen apart after 1 year of use. one positive is that it works with wireless charging (the only reason i got this case in the first place.

Great case looks good and does its job very well, dropped my phone loads of times with this including face down on hard floors. It's fine not a scratch or crack in sight. Writing this review as my phone fell out of my pocket when I was running earlier today and rolled down the street a few feet. Still no marks.

This case is really nice, seems as it would protect my N5 from a slight drop, but the major pros about this case is its design. Nice, big cutouts that easily fit most accessories. Comfortable to hold and the diy feature is super awesome. Highly recommend this case!

Happy with the product. Light weight, stylish, Great finish and reasonable price. Would recommend others. Just miss the stand of my old leatherite flip cover wallet case. Just bought a separate Anker universal multi-angle stand to fill the need.

Quiet possibly the best case I have ever bought for any phone. Cannot say enough good things about this case.

I had had another case from Ringke Fusion case for my Nexus 4 phone and I was very pleased about the product. So far so good with the new acquisition, it fits perfectly on my Nexus 5 and I feel my phone much protected with this case.

Excellent product.The most important thing for me was that the buttons (power & volume) still worked well with the case on. And they did. In fact, the buttons felt very similar as with the case off.

Have had the grey version of this case for two years and it looks great, except for some scratches on the back clear plastic. I have dropped my phone quite a few times, and it never got damaged, it looks just as new. I now bought this black one, for a bit of a change and it is just the same, and it also came with a screen protector film!

First class case. It replaced a cheap imitation and there really is no comparison with the Ringke version. Super close fit, great finish quality design. Can't fault it or the price. Arrived quickly from seller.

Fits well but a bit loose round one size, kinda afraid my phone will pop out so went back to Spigen
