3 Containers of Mixed Lenten Rose/Hellebore in 2.5 Inch Pots- Great for Fall Planting!

Lenten/Christmas Rose is the goddess of the spring garden. Mature plants are very expensive but do provide instant gratification: blooms. The blooms typically appear in the very early spring--even late winter and last for quite sometime. These plants came exceedingly well packaged and very healthy. I cannot work the soil for about a month, but am confident these will continue to thrive in their pots--as they have for over a week now. I prefer this size plant for several reasons. 1. Price. 2. Ease of planting--smaller hole. 3. Less transplant shock to the plants. I do wish the colors of the blooms were labeled, but all in all I could not be more pleased with these plants and look forward to next spring when I trust they will bloom provided I keep the soil somewhat alkaline, and evenly watered throughout the summer. I could not be happier with these plants. Update: I discovered that these plants have not been hardened off, meaning they will not tolerate a hard freeze well. Harden them off by putting them outside during the day when temps are above freezing and bringing them in during the colder nights. As temperatures warm, leave out for 24 hours until planting when the soil can be worked. I should have known this by the size of the relatively small leaves.

These adorable little Hellebores arrived happy and perky! I can't wait to find out what color they'll be! They arrived early, and packed very nicely. I'll definitely buy from Daylily Nursery again.

Plants are smaller than expected but appear to be healthy

Arrived sooner than expected in excellent condition. Soil was moist and leaves were a lovely green.

They died. They were brown on the leaves

2 of the 3 plants made it and were planted. Only one made it through the first winter one was not planted in a safe spot. It is growing good this summer so when fall/winter comes around I hope to see some of the first blooms. I have ordered live plants shipped from this company. The always come well wrapped. But, shipping in the summer heat sometimes they get really dry so be sure when you get them open them immediately and set them in water for awhile.

Wrapped in plastic, tiny so they were damaged. Compared with the photo, these were much smaller than what I thought I was getting. Hopefully they will survive and I’ll get the colors that are shown. Not cheap so I hope they survive

Plants look very healthy. Great packaging. I just planted them under my Pin Oak tree on a cold fall afternoon.
