Alpha Medical Obesity Support Back and Belly Brace (50" - 54" Around Hips)

Saved my back. I love it. I am overweight, but trying to lose weight is hard when my back hurts. This allows me to move and work on getting in shape. So glad I bought it, wish I had bought it sooner.

Difficult to size proberly

I have tried various ways of wearing this - over clothing and under, etc and so far, what works best is having a very long shirt that is worn under the belt and then pulling pants up over to the waist. However, this is not all that great if you frequently need the bathroom as I do. It also doesn't provide enough support for my abdomen - I have a huge bloat that sprang up on me after my thyroidectomy. It's a bit tricky to apply, with needing to close the primary velcro closures, then the straps, and removing it is also tricky as it's hard to grasp the velcro straps with my arthritic hands. So, it seems predominantly for back support and is designed for men. What I really need is some sort of medical corset with removable/washable liners.

So far I am pleased with it. It helps my back and my posture. I do not walk straight because I have been carry this weight for a while now. I do not wear the brace every day but when I do, my back can feel the difference. I had to return my first one because it was too big for me. Customer service told me I would have to pay about $6 for shipping but I was refund fully and I got the right size. And now I am happy.

I got this for my dad and him to send the 1st one back because of his too small. The 2nd when I got there is 1 size up and it's too big

The support was very good cuz I am a little larger and it holds my stomach in all parts in protecting me while I was lifting weights
