Sticky and rubbery - can't fault it
Not much to say beyond this does exactly what you'd expect. It adheres well to most surfaces and bonds really well to itself. I've used it extensively with no issues at all. Great product.

I have cleaned up 480 volt errors. Not typical but it worked.
Its best used to splice contractor errors. .

This is good quality.
Must have for electricity work. Wear protective gear and know what your doing. If you don't know what your doing hire someone who does. Electricity will kill you fast.

Great for sealing electrical connections.
This stuff works great for sealing electrical wires or connections against moisture. In a pinch, I used these to cover areas where shrink wrap did no extend far enough. It applies like clay-doh and it is extremely tacky onto itself. Almost like bubble gum. The places where you can use this are only limited by your imagination : )

The best type splice waterproofing
The best type splice waterproofing. This is basically the same product as the old Raychem insulation mastic and mastic heatshrink products, no longer available in retail form. Is a gooey mastic that you mold onto connections to waterproof them - excellent for auto, trailer and boat electrical connections. Note because you are hand-molding it in place, it is NOT rated as insulation - you need to wrap with rate electrical tape to make a "safe" cnnection.

Great for using on Bicycles!
This is absolutely great for use when mounting items to a bike frame. For example mounting a wheel/cadence sensor on a chainstay. This product wraps around the stay, moulds to the form and gives the zip ties something to bite into. No more moving sensor!! I have also seen someone use it to create a chain guard. Available in 2" width also. The 2" is better for some applications.

very tacky/sticky; stays put and does not move
Simple - I used this for a few bikes to quiet chain slap. I'm sure there are other uses as this stuff is versatile.

Get 2228 instead for Bike Chainstay Protection
I should have read the other reviews first, 2229 is tacky on both sides while 2228 is more like thick electrical tape. 2229 is thicker than 2228 and can be trickier to apply for bike chainstays depending on the frame as it's not as pliable as the 2228. Learn from my mistake, if you're looking for a bike chainstay protection, go with 2228. This stuff (2229) is great, super strong adhesive, super thick, a lot of protection/seal but just be aware it is very tacky on both sides

Lo use cómo protector de cadena en mi bicicleta, ya no hace nada de ruido al bajar

This stuff is amazing. It's exactly what I needed to use a chain guard on my bike. It's also great for other repairs. However, I was apprehensive as it was so expensive. Well, the box and roll shown in the product image is not the one you get, this is a bagged (no box) 30ft roll and 1.5" wide. The product shot/box shows a 10ft roll at 1" wide. I would have preferred to just get 10ft but it wasn't available at the time. That being said, the price difference is only $5 at the time of writing, which means this is a far better value. They do sell

I didn't use it for it's intended use, I used it to protect the chainstays on my mountain bike. Works like a charm.
