These are as good as the brand name. I have cut mild and tool steel with great finishes and long life on the tool. For the price you cannot beat these. You could not but three name brand inserts for the price of thirty of these

They work great for manual lathes, Not the best for cnc

These things are great on stainless, tool steel, 4140, and a few other things I've thrown at them. I also the insert holders made by the same manufacturer, and they are a great value. from what I hear, the edges are not lasting as long as some of the industrial grade inserts, but with these being so reasonably priced I'm not worried about breaking these when I make stupid beginner mistakes.

I have spent thousands on different inserts and unless it's for a very specific purpose the difference is almost non existent. These inserts perform great and leave an excellent finish. Do a good job hogging out material when you need to. Keep your finish pass at .010-.020 DOC and you will be very happy. I know I am.

I like the way they cut and last longer than some inserts do. Would buy again.

I’m not using them for production I’m just a hobbyist and for the price difference they work great for me.

These are excellent inserts, and fit the lathe tools available here...I believe they are called "5 Pears"...and both the LH and RH tools are the highest quality.
