Daily essential for middle age
High quality and so affordable. Taking this puts my thyroid numbers in ideal range as opposed to very low end of normal. It helps with my anxiety and overall health. I eat a very whole food diet and do not consume iodized salt so this is definitely an essential for me and members of my family.

Don't ignore iodine in your diet
Excellent product! Here's my story. At a recent trip to the doctor for routine stuff, I was told 'No, don't take an iodine supplement. Don't you have salt in your diet? I respond, yes but mostly coarse/Kosher salt, which doesn't contain iodine. Why, can anything bad happen? Doctor replies, Well toxicity levels possibly in the thyroid. Here's the thing people. Frankly, I'm not worried about toxicity levels for iodine. Research information indicates the adult body can safely have up to 1000 micrograms (which equals 1 milligram). A microgram is abbreviated mcg, not to be confused with mg, which is milligram, a much larger amount - 1000 times as large, to be exact). I simply stay within the 500 mcg range. I like these tablets for two reasons: 1) I like the way I've been feeling when I take them (I have more energy and I feel like I've been resting better). Moreover, with this supplement, I feel reassured that I don't have an iodine deficiency. I feel this way because I don't consume much salt (and the salt that I do is Kosher/coarse salt, which is not iodized). After all, how do we really know that we're getting enough iodine? Iodine is important for healthy thyroid function and thyroid function is key for good health, so don't assume blindly that you're getting enough iodine. Verify that you are then act accordingly. 2) The capsules are easily taken apart so that I can take some of the powder out. I take about half of the powder out, because I don't want to have the full 1000 mcg's. The reason is that I assume that I'm getting some iodine in my diet, and together with half of one of these tablets, I get plenty of iodine for healthy thyroid function. If you're wondering why I just don't buy a lower dose which is easily available in a 150 mcg, in the form of sea kale tablets - it's because I've read that the kale may have small (albeit safe) quantities of arsenic. That didn't stop me from trying them, however. I have ordered these tablets and taking them just didn't make me feel as good as the sea iodine tablets.

Reliable iodine supplement with clean ingredients
I’ve been using Life Extension Sea-Iodine™, which contains iodine sourced from kelp and bladderwrack, and I’ve been very pleased with the quality. I chose this product specifically because it uses naturally derived iodine rather than synthetic sources, and I trust the Life Extension brand for its transparency and testing standards. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, with no noticeable aftertaste or digestive discomfort. I also appreciate that the formula is straightforward and doesn’t include a long list of unnecessary fillers. For anyone looking to support healthy iodine levels as part of their overall wellness routine, this feels like a clean and dependable option. As with any iodine supplement, it’s important to know your needs before starting, since iodine intake can affect thyroid function. I would recommend consulting a healthcare provider if you’re unsure about dosage or existing thyroid conditions. Overall, this is a simple, high-quality iodine supplement from a reputable company. It’s easy to take, well-formulated, and provides peace of mind for those wanting to maintain healthy iodine intake as part of a balanced diet.

Easy to Take, But Use With Caution—Check Thyroid Levels Regularly
I picked up this Sea-Iodine supplement because I’d read some research suggesting iodine from kelp and bladderwrack might help support thyroid function, and potentially assist with weight loss. I was looking for something that could help stimulate my thyroid as part of a broader weight management plan. The pills are tiny and easy to swallow, with no noticeable bitter taste. They arrived in good condition, none broken or damaged. While taking these, I did notice I dropped a pound or two, but I was also dieting, exercising, and stacking other supplements (like creatine, green tea, and caffeine) to help boost metabolism and thermogenesis. If you’re looking for something to magically drop weight, this won’t do it alone—you really have to combine it with diet and activity. A word of caution: After finishing the bottle, my doctor flagged that I might have hyperthyroidism, so now I’m getting blood work done to check my thyroid levels. I can’t say for sure if the supplement caused it or if it’s just a coincidence, but if you’re going to try this (or any iodine supplement), definitely talk to your doctor first and keep an eye on your thyroid health. It’s possible that too much iodine can throw off your thyroid function, even if that risk is low. Other than that, I didn’t notice any side effects while taking the supplement. If you’re supplement-savvy and track your health closely, this could be a useful addition, but always check with a medical professional, and get your labs done every so often to be safe.

Very High Dosage / Can Adversely Affect Thyroid Function
My thyroid became underactive after using this product and after doing some research I discovered that an amount over 500 mcg per day is considered toxic and may cause an underactive thyroid. So I would exercise caution with this high dosage. Always do your own research and consult a health care provider regarding supplements.

Lose weight feel centered
I've been careful taking this I don't take it very much I take it like once a day or once every other day but I think it has helped me lose weight. I don't have any bad reactions to it I'm kind of sensitive and I'm able to take it and it does seem to be make me feel more centered
