Good: Extremely comfortable boots. Lace system is fire and forget. Side zip makes it easy to slip in and slip out. Nice and warm in winter paired with wool socks and just as comfortable in summer with wool socks. Good feel and grip. One of the most comfortable work boots i have ever owned even for the price they are amazing. Its so good that just realized that I never thought about purchasing inserts...that's how comfortable these boots are out the box. Bad: The wear and tear. It will start showing signs of wear and tear pretty fast. If you use this boot sparingly it still shows it. Use it a lot and it will wear fast. The soles and side zip seem to be the more problem prone issues. Seams near zipper can go. Laces fray. The soles wear fast. Ugly: When it falls apart it is catastrophic. Soles come completely apart. The thread becomes a hazard as it has no grip and hydroplanes in wet weather. The zipper becomes jammed. Side strap loses its grip. Laces fray completely. At times the waterproof feels like it loses its properties. Overall I feel like its a great boot for the price. Its not going to win any long term test since by 6-7 months of heavy use it will fall apart. But the one thing that it will stick out its the comfort and ease of use. You might spend twice as much for similar boot that might last similar time or more but the comfort level might not be on par. These are great boots to fire and forget. Comfort is key when wearing work boots and these are a 10/10 in that department but as far as longevity and durability these are 4 out 10 or at best 5 out of 10. For about $100 a year for comfortable work boots...Its a great deal really.

Definitely thickly padded, heavy duty boots. I was looking for a hiking/work boot, so I found what I needed, but these are not lightweight and will require a breakin period to develop flexibility. They fit true to size as well, very comfortable.

Hands down the absolute best pair of boots I have ever worn! I spent nearly 30 years in public safety from firefighting to Paramedic care delivery and I went through at least 100 pairs of boots. I've worn them all, 5.11's, Danners Merrills etc. They all in some fashion always left my heels and arches sore as heck, my ankles swollen like I have right heart failure, toes bleeding, and stink to high heavens. Now these Maelstroms are a Game Changer! They wear just like a pair of Schechers but now with ankle support, grip, and all out protection and performance. I can truly say I've stood working on a truck for over 24 hrs straight and my feet never hurt. Up and down a ladder and pounding concrete walking for tools and parts. These boots are so squishy and have true wide width to allow my feet to breathe and move. No more sweaty stinky feet. I wish I could have 10 more pairs but I don't think I'll see these ever wearing out. Also, they are American made and the quality is better than boots costing 5 times as much. Quedé súper sorprendido con estas botas Maelstrom TAC FORCE. Son ligeras, cómodas y el material se siente resistente de verdad. El acolchado interno ayuda muchísimo si pasas muchas horas de pie, y la suela agarra bien tanto en piso seco como mojado. Además, el cierre lateral hace que ponerlas y quitarlas sea rapidísimo. Las he usado para trabajar y para caminar bastante, y hasta ahora se han mantenido firmes, sin desgastes raros. Para el precio que tienen, superaron mis expectativas por completo. ¡Totalmente recomendadas para quien necesite unas botas tácticas cómodas y confiables!

Very highly impressed with the build quality of these boots. Honestly, I am impressed with him at any price and considering the fact of what these boots cost I am blown away. While I have not had these extremely long time yet, I have worn them for three days while riding motorcycles. They are not showing the first sign of ware. The insoles are removable, very important to me as I have to wear orthopedic inserts. They slide right in with no issues. The zipper on the sides appears to be extremely well built. All I can say is this. It appears like within the next week. I am going to purchase another set of these of the exact same size just to make sure I have another set when these wear out. I cannot believe they’re going to remain at the $50 mark price. Get them while you can. I highly highly recommend them.
