Amazing flavor. It was my first ever time trying tinned trout or any kind of tinned fish in general and I definitely recommend and approve that you’ll enjoy as much as I did, very delicious!

This is my favorite tinned trout. Great on its own on a cracker but just as good mixed with some lemon and sour cream as a spread.

Listen, i have been on tinfish for a few weeks. Many different brands, international and local. So far I have had the Trout in Dill and the Smoked Salmon, and let me tell you... this ish is delicious. The fish are big beautiful chunks. The quality is supreme. The flavors are really good... as a salt addict who's always adding salt to stuff... i didn't need to add anything. I hit it with some Kewpie mayo and a splash of lime and ate it. People complain about the price... listen, when you want to have sustainably caught and respectfully processed food, you will pay the cost. Not only is the quality worth it to me... but i rather spend the coins and feel good about what i put in my body. I will be hitting this brand up for more tinfish.

After receiving a tin of this as a birthday gift, and enjoying that first tin immensely, I went ahead and ordered several more via Amazon. The next three (3) tins I opened were just full of a kind of fish slurry of small pieces of trout mixed with dill seasoning. Unlike the first tin which was a coherent chunk of trout with a nice layer of dill on top. So the quality is very uneven and it seems they just dumped odds and ends into these more recent tins of their product to amount to what I referred to as fish slurry. No fun to eat. Threw it away. Sad because the gift tin was very good.

These and their other options taste great. Perfect texture, very mild for the timid of tinned fish, and convenient for traveling. And no, these won’t turn you into a hipster… unless that’s what you’re going for. We take several varieties of these with us every camping trip. They go perfectly with the crackers of your choice, or all by themself. And after a long day of hiking, biking, whatever, it’s the perfect way to be a little fancy with a well deserved happy hour. Or just make these the meal, because as adults we can eat what we want on vacation.
