How do you need to prepare the soil for planting and how often does it need trimming?

They are happy in any soil - no special prep required. They need cutting every year when they are at the height you want.

How long will it take for these to grow 4 ft?

I purchased last April, they arrived about 12 inch tall, they are now 2.5 ft tall and busy. Would have grown larger but we moved then around. They are good quality.

Can I keep them in pots as I want to create a green wall in my balcony
