Good product for a wireless CarPlay and android auto
Does Apple CarPlay wireless adapter works really good! I use it on my Indian Motorcycle and it works good. The only problem is when I go past certain areas like an airport. It cuts out but then it comes back on so it’s not as strong of a connection as a a car or something that was stuck in a vehicle. Also the location of your phone wherever you put it has to be close to the device. I noticed that when it’s not in the exact view of it, it cuts out a lot.

Unreliable, unpredictable behavior but works great when it works
Bought for my 2018 Honda Goldwing upon recommendation of CRUISEMAN. I already had the older style Carlink, but I thought I would upgrade. On a recent 5,000 mile trip to the Northern Cascades and down the Pacific Coast Highway, it was just unreliable. Despite several reinstalls where I would “forget” the device, and then reinstall, I never could get it to work reliably. At first I thought it was going to be great because the initial install and firmware update worked without a hitch. Sometimes it worked perfectly. Most of the time it would require me to unlock my phone when starting the bike, the iPhone which I kept in the trunk. So I would pull over, get off my motorcycle, open the trunk and unlock my iPhone; other times after a fuel up or meal break, it did not require me to unlock my phone and fired right up, until it didn’t. I experienced multiple occasions where the map would freeze on the screen (voice instructions still worked) but the Apple CarPlay would freeze and show a turn in 27 miles, and stay there all the way to the turn. After the turn, I pulled it out of the USB port to reboot it but it wanted me to unlock my iPhone again. So, pull over, get off bike, open trunk and unlock iPhone… Another strange thing was when I would receive a call, I would hit the answer button. I could see on screen it would allow me to depress the answer button but nothing happened. This same thing happened with text messages, allowing me to depress the text message but nothing happened… sometimes receiving calls and texts worked perfectly fine, but sometimes it would not allow me to answer text messages or phone calls, even though it appeared to let me depress the buttons. Like I say, after multiple attempts to uninstall (forget) and reinstall with the same unpredictable results, I gave up and went back to my older Carlink that Cruiseman originally recommended. It worked flawlessly and has ever since. I have an Apple iPhone 14 Pro. Well, I only lost $30 but the older model works great. It allows me to keep my phone in the trunk so can l can ride through 112 degree weather and not overheat my iPhone while charging and using navigation. As for this new “mini”, it was too unreliable and unpredictable to use. Sometimes it works great, and other times it froze or partially froze with the most common annoyance being it required me to unlock my iPhone before it would work. But even then, once my phone was unlocked, I still had to deal with freezing up or inconsistent functionality. After using it for about 2,000 miles, I can’t recommend this product.

Reliable and Simple Wireless CarPlay Solution
I bought the CarlinKit Mini Ultra 2 in 1 Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay adapter for my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands, since it did not come with wireless CarPlay from the factory. I am really happy with it. Setup was super easy and it connects automatically every time I start the car. It works about 99 percent of the time with no issues. Only once or twice have I needed to unplug it and plug it back in, which is a very minor inconvenience compared to the overall convenience it adds. The connection feels fast, music and maps load right away, and phone calls are clear. This little device has made driving so much easier and more enjoyable. No more dealing with cords every time I get in the car. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to add wireless CarPlay or Android Auto to their vehicle. Note: One important note is that your car already needs to have wired CarPlay or Android Auto built in from the factory (or in an aftermarket head unit). This device does not add CarPlay or Android Auto if your system does not already support it.
