Finally found a great boot
I bought my husband 2 boots and some Hokas and had to return them all. But these are easy to get on and very comfortable for someone with neuropathy. I HIGHLY recommend them. They run slightly big, but I think a half size down would be too tight.

Great Warm winter shoes
I am very pleased with these shoes. I have narrow feet and as expected these were a little loose. I added gel insoles with arch support and they now fit perfect. They are great in the snow as we are getting 8+ inches of snow today here in N. IL. and I have been out shoveling many times. They keep my feet warm and dry. They seem to be true to size as every non-lace shoe I have tried is big on my feet, and as mentioned, these were as expected. But I bought these for the zipper feature as I did not want lace up shoes. I highly reccomend them!

Solid everyday shoe with a few weak spots
I’ve bought these shoes three times now and wear them daily in all kinds of conditions—dry, wet, and even sub-zero. They slip on easily, feel comfortable, and have just the right ankle height: low enough to get on quickly, but still supportive. They're reasonably water-resistant and hold up for just under two years with regular use. That said, the soles wear out fairly fast, and I’ve had to add gel inserts to extend their life. The heel area tends to break down quickly too and the material covering the ankle padding rubs away easily. They're also not very slip-resistant, so keep that in mind if you work on slick surfaces. Despite the flaws, they’re convenient and comfortable enough that I keep coming back to them. Good value if you don’t mind replacing them every couple of years.

This is a boot story with a happy ending. We live on some acreage and have horses. I often have to trek through the rain and mud to tend them. In the past, I have used the Muck Boots Jobber model and they have been excellent. My boots need to be easy on and easy off. Difficult to find as I have a wide foot with a high instep. They also need to be rain proof. And, of course they need to be comfortable. The Muck Boots fulfilled all of these requirements and I have gone through several pair. However, a couple of months ago it had rained steadily for several days and the grass was saturated. On my way to feed the horses, carrying a feed bucket and going down a very slight grassy grade, I promptly fell on my butt. Muddy mess. When I got back to the house, I looked at the soles of the Muck boots. They were worn completely slick. And that is the issue with the Muck Boots Jobber model. The soles are lightly pebbled and wear quickly leaving little to no traction. In my search for a different boot to fit my requirements I tried two different manufacturers and had to return them both. Hard to get on and harder still to remove. Then I discovered the Propet Men's Blizzard Ankle Zip. Bingo! Perfect boot. Easy on and off, rainproof and very comfortable. They have an aggressive tread that works well in the slippery stuff. I will have to see how the longevity works out but so far, so good. I ordered the 5X and the boots are a little loose. The 3X would have fit better but these work fine. I recently ordered another pair of Propet shoes for casual use. They have not yet arrived. I am impressed with the large range of sizes available.

LET IT SNOW
I really didn't want to pay $80 + for a snow boot but other boots at lower prices provided questionable quality along with a variety of negative reviews. I haven't tested my boots in snow/icy weather, unfortunately that opportunity will come soon enough, but I can share this with you. The boots are very, very sturdy, appear to be very well-made, and the soles have a great deep tread that should work well on snow. I can tell you this - the boots run true to size. However, as mentioned elsewhere, order a half size larger in length. You will be wearing these in winter and most likely wearing much thicker/heavier socks than you wear during other seasons. I generally wear a 10 1/2, medium, shoe and the size 11 with thick socks is perfect. I stayed with the medium width and it seems like the right combination for me. For a few dollars more I have a product that will perform as I expect it to and it will do so for a long period of time.

Overall pretty nice BUT
It's a well made shoe, and they have a lot of wide sizes which I want. But their shoe width goes by Xs instead of Es, so you don't know what you're getting. From the shoes I got a 12 XX looks like a 12 5E. I had to return them as they were too big and am done with their guessing game, I returned them. They are made in China but don't use Western shoe widths. The ad needs to be rewritten.

No Fear
Every morning, I hike with my dog and train him at the bay. The grass is always very wet. While I have been using Cliff Walker for years, they become less water resistant after one year. That is why I decided to try this pair. So far so good. It was a good idea to choose this ankle-high instead of Mid Zip, since I have very high insteps. I could try the Mid Lace, though. I use "Low Gaiters - Hook & Loop Design for Easy On/Off - Neoprene Leg Gaiters." (Update for the gaiters: As the Leg Shield Low-Cut Gaiters are not waterproof proof, I switched them with Azarxis Hiking Gaiters which are waterproof and easy to put on. See the added picture.) Hope the waterproofness of this rubber lasts longer than Cliff Walker's leather. Update: After all, I bought the Mid Lace version. See the added pic. I definitely feel more comfortable in the Mid Lace pair, as the laces allow width adjustment. Since I also have high insteps, I prefer the Mid Lace style without the fixed zip. I do like the height of the ankle zip, though. I wish Propet would make an Ankle Lace version. Update II: I bought the black pair, too, since they were on sale. The leather part does not dry quickly after hiking on wet grass, even though the inside is completely dry. Now I can rotate them to wear and give them more time to dry. Update III: I found that the Mid-Lace pair was not waterproof. My feet got soaking wet. Therefore, I am sticking to the Ankle-Zip pairs.

These shoes are very good for summer, provide good traction. Whether they last long remains to be seen.

When I received these boots I was very impressed with their quality and construction. The only issue I had was with the sizing. I take a size nine and that's what I ordered. When I tried them on, I found the length of the boot to be perfect but there was so much volume inside the boot that my feet would flop around as they were very loose. I brought them to a shoe repairman and he installed a 1/4 inch insole to fill up the volume. Since then, these boots have performed flawlessly and I believe they are so well built that they will last many years. I am very happy with them.

I'm typically a size 10 and a 4E in shoes, so finding shoes/boots is typically difficult for me because they're too narrow. Now, I did order the XX-Wides just to make sure I had room and I'm glad I did, because the boots are about 1/4" too wide. I don't mind this because it gives my foot room to maneuver and I'm not cutting off circulation. These are a "big 10" boot. You may notice a bit of a gap between the back of your foot and the back of your boot. If I were to order another pair of these, I'd probably order something higher than an ankle boot to compensate; maybe I'd go just overtop of the ankle. The major issue for me is comfort, and these boots definitely fit the bill in that regard. I'm in Ontario, Canada, and they're definitely warm enough for winter here. I'm a big fan of anything Thinsulate so I loved the liners (quite possibly the reason why the boots are such a big fit), so the liners definitely help. I can walk in them pretty easily, moreso than most boots. As someone who hates doing up shoelaces, I infinitely prefer the zippers as well. They kind of fit like a loafer because of the zippers, so if you're a fan of loafers you'll like these boots.

These are great boots. The extra-width is so helpful. I've had them for months now, and really enjoyed them during the winter - so easy to slip on and off to go out to check mail and worked very well during long winter walks to get groceries and the like. This pair has proven extremely waterproof and surprisingly warm during the coldest parts of our Canadian winter.

Ordered wide, but should have ordered WW. Feel a little tight on width, but comfortable otherwise. Great winter shoe in mucky weather. w
