Why did you choose this product over others?:No reason. But it’s a great little robot well worth the money

I was amazed the moment I turned it on. The eyes are an interesting display idea for an engaging toy but it kept up with the robot aesthetic and had a really good retro look. But also the fact the robot just gets on with it right from the start, no waiting around for someone to do something!There are a quite a number of different activities which are mainly about teaching young kids good habits and manners. It's an interesting take on learning and I can't attest to how effective it is - with the robot moving around all over the place I can't see how attention will be kept on what is being said. Some of the statements feel like a translation of Chinese good habits which aren't usually pressed home in the West. However they are all valid nonetheless and I'm glad they are there, even if as a reminder of how cultural diversity.Using the controller you can get access to all of the features and I was surprised how effective the infrared controller was even when the robot was facing away - and he likes to face in all kinds of directions constantly on the move when talking. In fact to really make the most of the robot you will want quite a large area of free space. He worked on carpet but did have a tendency to tip over when moving. He worked much better on laminate/hard floors.The gesture detection is quite cool too but fairly limited in options, it's still a nice inclusion and sets this robot apart. I also found out that Mr. Wang Lao has a piece of land is a Chinese equivalent of Old McDonald had a farm. Love it.I can't give the robot 5 stars purely because the interactively wears off quite quickly even with the depth of modes. That said he instantly grabs everyone's attention (including the cat and the dog!) and it great for a kid interested in space/tech just from the styling.

The robot can be used with preset dances or you can control yourself via the easy to use control pad. Overall, it’s a fun investment that brings joy and excitement. Highly recommended!
