2% Salicylic Acid Natural Soap for Acne (4 oz Bar)

Awesome, effective, and more gentle than typical 2% salicylic washes. Truly love this stuff and use it daily. Highly recommend any products from this brand.

I first came across DermaHarmony when I needed a solution for my oily and acne-prone skin. Their 10% sulfur, 3% salicylic acid bar soap was the first product I experimented with. It worked really well and helped keep my face from getting super oily. It also dried out any remaining blemishes I had on my face. However, the sulfur smelled like rotten eggs, and I really needed a change from this particular soap. I kept smelling sulfur every time I walked into my bathroom. This is when I converted to DermaHarmony's 2% salicylic acid bar soap . This soap may have less of the essential ingredients comparatively to the 10% sulfur, 3% salicylic acid bar soap , but it also doesn't smell at all! It's still gentle enough to use daily (at least once a day) as long as you have a good moisturizer. If you're looking to travel with it, I found this bar soap container from SnowKingdom was the perfect fit. I am a fan of DermaHarmony, and I know I will be a repeat customer for my bar soap needs!

I purchased this soap because I have been breaking out on my scalp off and on since I was a teenager. Now I'M an old timer at 61 and it still happens. I seen some acne meds that have SA in but I didn't want to put that on my scalp because all the chemicals that are in some of them so I figured since this is a soap bar, why not try it? So I did. Well anyway I darkened my gray hair recently will natural brown Henna which came out ok. So now I washed my hair with SA soap bar and ended up with blonde hair which doesn't look bad because I had natural blonde hair when I young and then turned it turned light brown. Funny how stuff happens because if I had tried to get this blonde color through dyes, never happen and it wasn't done with peroxide. The break outs that I bought it for are calming down a bit but time will tell if it does a good job keeping it clear.

After finally going through most of these soaps which seem to last in my head for about 2 weeks each, with daily shower use, it's a decent product. There is not much of a scent, and what little there is (as most things do have a scent), it's not unpleasant, flowery, fresh, etc but plain & reminded me of fresh cut wood lol. It lathers pretty good too. I'll buy again, except I wish the soap was slightly bigger. As for blemishes, it reduced acne & didn't dry me out, & that's me forgetting to moisturize after.

I work in a a healthcare setting and have to wear a mask for 12-13 hours per day. I have noticed a significant decrease in breakouts/acne/clogged pores since using this soap. It can be mildly drying, but this can be managed with the appropriate moisturizer. I will continue to purchase this product to manage my breakouts and oily/combination skin!

The ph of this bar soap is unknown. And definitely shouldn’t be used daily. Don’t harm your natural microbiome or ph.

I have bad acne and I have tried many kinds of facewash, all of which didnt work. Worse, they made the acne worse at times. Then I realised that there are tons of ingredients and chemicals in most facewashes - including coloring agents like RED40. Thinking that the ingredients might be causing my skin to react badly, I thought of giving soap bars a shot since they have much fewer ingredients. I found this cheap option and it worked really well. Within 2 weeks, my acne has reduced considerably. Definitely recommended. I would recommend using it before sleeping and applying a moisturizer afterwards to keep overnight.

I never dealt with acne issues up until covid and having to wear a mask at work for long hours. I decided to switch to silk masks, but i was still breaking out, and yes i did wash my masks. I tried various different acne creams and none worked until i found this soap!! Ive been using it once daily for about 7 weeks now and I am so happy I came across it and its also affordable. My face has cleared up almost completely. Its soft and doesn't dry out my face that much. I recommend having a good moisturizer to put on afterwards.
