After experience with other grounding sheets going bad, I tested this one right after receiving it. I used a real mulitmeter and tested continuity in the grounding cable and got nothing. I tested the conductivity between threads in the sheet and they were fine but, there was no continuity between any thread and the post where the grounding cable connects to the sheet. Note: they give you a little continuity tester but all that's going to do is test continuity between threads. You'll have no idea if you're really being grounded to your house ground. You need to test everything with a real meter. This is the third grounding mat/sheet I've bought. First one was a mat that had a bad cable so I bought one and everything worked fine until the elastic straps holding it to the mattress ripped apart over time. I next bought a sheet type that worked great until I washed it (according to their instructions, btw). Apparently threads in the sheet broke. These things are great when they work. Deep sleeps and vivid dreams. You wake up really refreshed.

Update: Ordered a circuit tester after being shocked by this item. It appears the circuit in my apt has a problem. The circuit tester included with this sheet strip doesn’t show if you have an electric problem. It’s why I was shocked on 2 different tries. I’m not sure if this problem was exacerbated by a minor storm during the night. So, test out your electricity with an actual circuit tester and not what is included in this purchase. Original review My experience with this small grounding sheet has been crazy. It emits electric impulses - not quite a full shock but more than even a static charge. Since being shocked I have had a headache and I rarely get them so I assume it came from the surging shocks coming from the mat in the middle of the night. It actually took me a few minutes to determine that this was probably what some people were writing about. As you can see the circuit tester I bought and just tried out shows the issue. I read online that others have the same experience. I had it set up night one and all seemed good. I fell asleep and at some point I started getting these electrical impulses. It was actually quite painful so I removed - I was even nauseated the next day from it. I did some research on this technology and nothing specific is specified in advertising materials on what it should feel like and why it would help any body function unless you want to feel the electricity going through it. I decided to give it a second chance last night and it was initially comfortable but about 2 hours later it started surging. It’s like a surge of electricity. I initially decided to try this half sheet because of all the complaints online for the full sheets. I weigh 128 so this sheet was plenty long and wide enough for me to put on the bed lengthwise and it was comfortable this way before plugging it all in. I also noticed in reading reviews that some people were feeling something similar to my experience and others were feeling nothing. This particular sheet was given for free to a large number of people and when I look at the reviews they leave for other items they are all 5 star - which is sketchy. I assume their free experience is good enough overall that they don’t chance even leaving a 4 star review. I live in New England and perhaps the earth under my home is too wet or charged to work. I’m taking it to NYC in a few weeks and will test out there - maybe it won’t shock me at our midtown East apt which is on bedrock. Update: there are recalls on some sheets used in vet care which is interesting. Also in these articles they say there can be physical harm if you use grounding during thunder storms. I rarely wake up during storms and would hate removing my sheeting at 3am. This warning isn’t mentioned in any of the promotional ads that I’ve read. In Vermont we get lots of late evening/early morning thunder and lightening storms that I never hear and aren’t predicted.

I bought two of these mats, and on both of them the grounding wire is an open circuit! I tested just the wires themselves with a multimeter and there is absolutely no continuity from between the connections! I saw that one other reviewer tested the grounding wire and made the same observation. This seems to be a huge quality issue, as I am sure they are mass produced. Since the grounding wires are defective, the mats are useless and will be returned!
