Vallejo WWII Allied Model Air Paint, 17ml (Pack of 16)

The first thing to note about buying Vallejo paints from Amazon is that for some reason the listings are not all accurate, which leads to confusion on what you are actually buying. It appears that some listings have the wrong picture and / or description, so what you see or read about may not actually be the information for the set you chose by the title. You can also find different descriptions depending on whether you are using a mobile device or browser to view the item. I can often see the colors in the set listed in the description on the mobile app, but never if I am using a browser, but the mobile listings are not always accurate either. That said, every purchase I have made I have received the TITLED item, regardless of picture or description. I suggest downloading a catalog from Vallejo which includes their colors at time of publication and the sets they offer with their contents clearly listed, then buy them BY TITLE from Amazon. So far, this has worked for me for several purchases. As far as the paints go, I was an old fashioned modeler, I insisted on using the old enamel products for years, but they were getting harder to find, and I hated the amount of waste I had if I used an airbrush by the time I used an eye dropper to extract and thin the paint for spraying. Not to mention that thinning the enamels would often times cause a slight change in the actual color that laid down on the model, so if you later did any touch up by brush, or a different coat, it could lead to different shades of paint. So I ended up getting into a few acrylic paints and washes over time for shades I couldn't find any other way, but then I had to make sure everything was fully cured or sealed before swapping from enamel to acrylic or I would end up with a nasty mess and ruined model. This all led me to trying this "Model Air" line by Vallejo, and I am sold! They are so easy to spray without the need to thin them down. If I am doing a large surface I will use some Flow Improver to keep the air brush from drying up on me, but I use the recommend 2 drops of improver to 10 drops paint, so it doesn't change the color at all and is very easy to duplicate. The dropper bottles are awesome, I have MUCH less waste, no more lids drying on the bottle either since they clean easy and and are plastic so the don't 'glue' themselves together. They also dry very fast, so buy the time I am done with the first coat on the entire project the first pieces are typically ready for the second coat. Lastly, they brush well for touch up or small areas too. I will also note that they have handy storage solutions that work great and help keep your hobby area organized, just be careful when putting them together. And their Primers are great and easy to spray through an airbrush too.

The paint goes on so nice and easy. There is no need for any special mixing to get the right consistency. Drip it into your airbrush and you are good to go. The color covers well and is very smooth. Blending is a breeze. I like the array of colors in this set. A great selection to get you going on whatever you want to paint.

Good paint for airbrushing if you want to use a regular brush you can but this paint is a bit thin for that but would work after a couple of coats not thatvtuenpaint is bad its just airbrush ready Vallejo paint has been my mainstay paint for all modeling needs and has worked flawless. If you do need to brush paint use the Model color line by vallejo its a lot thicker.

Good value package of paints that cover most scenarios when you are starting your airbrushing journey. This mix well to allow you a huge range of colors. My first 2 scale model aircraft kits were painted only using the paints from this set and I managed to match to what I needed fairly easily. They flow well through an airbrush if you get the right consistency. I like to use 50/50 where it is 50% paint to 50% flow improver.

One of the bottles leaked. Had to cut two other bottles of paint out of package. Need to send this email to Vallejo. I see others had same problem. Thank you ! Brent Bergemann

The paint colors as detailed in the description for this item are not included in this set. I received exactly that shown in the images. I would also like to say that the title "Vallejo WWII Allied Model Air Paint" is misleading as well. The box actually says "Model Air Set / Colors for Models & Miniatures". I did a search, "Vallejo WWII Allied Model Air Paint", on Amazon and there are other paint set variations. Too late now but I added to my list for the future. My suggestion, for buyers, compare that shown in the image(s) with that mentioned in the details. For the seller, fix the title and description details.

Il set da una serie di colori primari e non. I colori sono buoni per un utilizzo ad aerografo ma almeno nel mio caso e con gli strumenti che possiedo richiedono una leggere diluizione per non intasare subito la duse. Su circa 5 gocce di colore devo inserire 2 gocce d'acqua per ottenere la giusta consistenza, consistenza per dure da 0,2 e inferiori. Le boccette sono piccole, veramente piccole, il che non rende questo prodotto realmente economico come lo si vuol fare apparire ma tutto sommato è un kit più che dignitoso per chi vuole iniziare senza svenarsi con colori ben più costosi. I colori sono abbastanza coprenti anche se a volte servono diversi passaggi per ottenere buoni risultati. Li consiglio.
